Good Morning Denise. I like your clay creations ,the shape of your bottles is so cool. I love that piece at the very end of the video with the leaf imprints and layering, really impressive. I took 2 classes of clay sculpting just before Covid put the breaks on. I love the medium and would love to get back into it. I am sure you will put those shards to good use. I follow a channel called "Mango Mosaic", The artist works mostly with crockery shards etc. and her work is recognized and awesome. Good luck with your teaching this weekend. : )

Thanks for the tip on Mango Mosaic...I'll check them out Ina. I love the clay, though have a lot going on along with making down time a priority...so only spend one afternoon a week on clay. Feels kinda good to not let the pressure of stuff get to me...just let it go, let it flow! Planning a long trip to see the kids in Edinburg...and day dreaming about that. Right now...resting after a long weekend of class...really great class!🧡

I see you're fired up. :) Great stuff. I did two High Priestess statues from air-dried clay. I wanted to do a series. Not quite happened. :) Your pieces are terrific. Have a fifties vibe. Stay fierce!.

Hey Linda...just coming down from teaching this weekend...now planning a European get away! the fun never ends around here! Just getting back to comments...I'm great at starting series...not so quick to complete though! Sounds like I'm in good company!😉

@@cerropaint I'm currently using a 25-lb. clay cube for a doorstop. Did I say currently? It's been a couple of years. Ah, Europe.Wonderful! Of course, you'll take a journal. Fantastico!!!!

@@lindalavid I'm actually thinking of an artless trip this time! Maybe a quick little water color journal...though I kinda need a break and a fresh take on things around me. Plus we are doing 50 days with carry on only...every little bit of space counts!😱

Loving your new creative process I just started a hand building class. Where do we buy the transfers. I don’t think my workshop has them. Can’t wait to see what you do next😊

Hi Gigi...this is such a fun medium! You can find transfers on Amazon for clay...there are so many cool patterns!🧡

His work is amazing and if anything would take me away from collage and paint it would be slab-built pots. I could take a class at the local art gallery and call it vacation. The only clay class I've had was way back in the 60's at a community college. At the time I had no notion of this sort of work.
