I can't believe no one has commented on how awesome all the Ikea furniture is in your studio! I love the shelving units especially and when you showed the packing area I immediately saw the pegboards - what a perfect place for them omg! Your studio is def #goals for me, I totally agree that living in a space with pretty things and color and that's organized is so motivating and stress relieving! I've been organizing lately and noticed a lot of decrease in stress from when all my stuff was all over the place! I can see my desktop now it's no longer buried under paper lol

Maybe a window tint by the desk would help with the glare? A mirrored one would reflect the light and heat away from the room while still letting you see out the window

I don't know about other people, but I love to see how people organize their work spaces. It's like you see a map to how they think and process tasks. Some need visual information, a lot, others need clean walls. And where they put things so everything is efficient. Loving that makes me weird? Hope not, if it does, videos like these, make me feel like we're weird together

For the sun coming in you can use the clear cellophane wrapping film and adhere it with a clip and magnetic piece attached you can roll it up and take it down when not needed. That way you can still have light come in without a permanent fix. Or you can simply a-fix it with a piece of washi tape. 🙏 hope this helps.

LOVE the new studio space & seeing those small tables against the window sparked an idea to solve a problem I currently have in my space. I wanted a drop leaf table to shoot products on for my blog/KZbin but IKEA no longer sells what I want in white so I've had to DIY one and those table tops are PERFECT. Found their smallest one on sale & it's the absolute perfect size so THANK YOU!

I LOVE IT! If you're worried about it looking cluttered under the tables, you could try likesome little curtians underneath that you can just slide open when you've got something going on at that station and then slide closed when that area isn't being utilized. It may be a little easier than cupboards.

We had the problem where we were blinded by the light at certain points during the day and our solution was to put magnets on the window and have a a memo board or something like a screen so you can still see out but diffuses the light while you are doing work on the computer

Lovely studio and it looks so functional! Maybe you could all decorate a cardboard cutout and place it against the window near your personal workstation. That way you could easily take it down when the sun goes down a little and enjoy the view :)

In your corner work space, try putting up lightweight blinds that can pull up and down, that way while working it will protect everything from strong sun and light but when it’s not too sunny or warm you can keep them up. Look at IKEA, I know they have numerous types of blinds. It looks like you would only need 2, if IKEA doesn’t have something that will work resort to an actual blind store, they could customize them if needed. Over time whatever the cost it will even out to be pretty inexpensive... Best of luck with all your upgrades and business endeavors!!! 😊👌

Idea.... What about using Velcro and adding cute cloth to the bottom of the desk area (under the mug label area and the like). You could then tie the cloth back onto the legs if needed for easy access.

For conventions you could swap the white card in the holder for some sturdy clear acetate so that your customers can see the whole design. You would need a bone folder to score the folds but they aren’t expensive to buy. It might be good to cut down on the amount people touch the products while COVID is still around 😊

Yay! I love the new studio, Cat! Isn't it funny how you can think you're surviving just fine in a small space, then you get into a big one and it just miraculously fills up just as much? LOL In no time, you wonder how in the world you were able to work in the smaller space at all! Your desk area is so great, maybe you could find a fix for the issues and still keep it. Is there a chance you could put a blind or drape over that one window that you can pull shut while you're editing? And maybe some type of diverter for the A/C? LOVE LOVE LOVE your view!
