I like seeing all your experiments Jess. It's obviously a shame if something doesn't work but I guess you are learning a lot from it all.

Oh noooo, so sad the screen printing didn't worked! But you managed to do all the process and that's already amazing! Hope you can do it in the future. But the hand painted version looks amazing, I'm in love 😍

Thank you so much 🥰 yes I was deeply annoyed because I kept changing and improving the technique since January 😆 but I'm not going to give up! 💪

Very cool to see the process of silk screening, the graphic you made for the apparel is so adorable uwu I was contemplating on doing my own shirts and was really considering getting my own silkscreen kit, but I might end up outsourcing it heheh :x Your get stuff done to do list is so freaking cute!
@JessWasHere3 жыл бұрын
Aww thank you very much! :) eheh if you can get your t-shirts done, go for it! unfortunately the process isn't going that smooth for me but I always wanted to learn how to screenprint so I'll keep trying :)

The notepads look incredible! :) Also just so cool how you managed to burn a screen for printing at home, wow! Sounds like the whole screen printing process can be frustrating, but I'm sure you'll get there soon! :) x
@JessWasHere3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rita! Thank you so much! 😊 I was actually surprised it worked 😂 although later I realized that the screen started to degrade after several washes, so I believe it was underexposed. I'll expose it longer next time :) yes, I'm not going to give up!! 💪 x

What a great video, thanks for sharing your hard work, I hope the market went very well. These new notepads look very nice and I think they will be some of your best sellers. Maybe I’ll order 12,000 or 15,000 of them :)

Have you tried heat tranfers on the heat press? it's much more fast and it doesn't give you so many problems. You can bye the printer for the transfers or you can make the design and order the transfers on Supacolor, for exemple. Look it up on youtube.
@JessWasHere3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you for your comment and your suggestion :) Yes, definitely heat transfers are a good alternative but I do really want to learn to screenprint. I'm fascinated by printmaking techniques and since I already have all the materials I want to see if I can make it :)

What a pity screen printing is giving you such a hard time 😔 It is a lovely technique. That blue ink got probably too liquid, it’s a shame, the blue is gorgeous on the pink bags. Loving where the raccoon is going by the way, very interesting.
@JessWasHere3 жыл бұрын
It's an eternal struggle ahah But I'm so happy I managed to expose the image, I will not give up for sure! Yes, I think it's the new ink I got, it's Permaset. I love the fact it's an eco-friendly ink, but yes, I think it's more liquid. I'll try to use it with another screen I have that has a thicker mesh. And thank you! :)

Maybe a cut out paper and put it over the tote bag so the smudges will be on the paper, an idea
@JessWasHere3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply!! Thanks, I didn't think of that :) but I'm afraid the paint would smudge anyway because it's very thin. Thanks for your comment!
@MADD_Crafter3 жыл бұрын
I was heart broken to see the screen print not work for you. Maybe the ink bottle needs a good shake or mix? 🤔 Another option would be to create a stencil with the raccoon and just brush the paint over the decal with your tote underneath. I hope that make sense. It just seems a lot of work to paint each one by hand. 😕.
@JessWasHere3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lorena! I admit that I didn't mix the ink bottle! I will do it next time I try :) Thanks for your advise, I think I need to experiment a bit more. I'd love to make t-shirts next, so I really want to master the technique :) Yes, painting each one by hand is waaaay longer, but I'm now using uni posca together with paint, and it's not toooo bad :)
@MADD_Crafter3 жыл бұрын
@@JessWasHere i can’t wait to see you master the silk screening. I often have to place a stick in my paint cans and mix real good. Paint tends to clump at the bottom.
