Lovely to sit down with you again! 🤗 I know you mentioned switching to Paleo lately and was wondering what you put in your coffee? Any advice is appreciated as I'm doing the same for health reasons.
@Mandarines6 жыл бұрын
Hello Maria! Yes! I switched over a year ago! Though I must say that I'm not 100% paleo as I still consume rice (that's the only grain that I eat). So I always use rice milk for my coffee

Thank you Melody! 💜 Trying to be kinder to myself and go that route for the sake of my hormones and thyroid. Being half Korean, I was feeling very upset about no rice! 😆
@Mandarines6 жыл бұрын
This is SO important. I cannot even tell you how much of a positive change this journey has been. If you have hypothyroidism, I would highly suggest you to have a look at zinc and selenium supplements. That's the only medication that I'm taking to try to reverse the effects of the disease, and the results have been phenomenal (oh and make sure that you VIT D is optimal as well, oh and iron+ ferritin!) And YES, I'm totally with you. I couldn't imagine life without rice! Geeezzzz 😆😆😆

Hi Melody, regarding your eyes getting tired from the computer: it could be a good idea to get a different prescription from the optometrist for the distance from you eyes to where your computer screen usually is. They can measure that short distance and see where the focal point should be. That could be your “computer glasses”. Your eyes then don’t have to strain so hard when looking at the computer. I think it will be much nicer. Also, lots of mini breaks where you look away from the screen help, but I’m sure you already know this ☺️

Thank you so much for your input! My eyes were actually getting tired from NOT wearing my glasses! I do spend a LOT of time on the computer though, so even with the glasses, I feel that I get get migraines sometimes as I don't tend to take enough breaks...🤗 I'm super guilty of that!

Very inspired post =) I love to watch it as I learn quite a lot about the process of creating a knitting pattern. Which camera did you buy? Would you review it?

Thank you so much for your kind words! I got a Canon G7 Mark II. It's still quite new to me, so I'm not familiar with all its functionalities, but so far I'm really enjoying it! It's super light, very portable, the video quality is really lovely! The only thing is that the sound quality is not great, but I'm still VERY happy with it!

Hello Melody, I am super curious as to how you are able to be a full-time knitter? I am a island girl from Hawaii and I am unable to work due to health issues and I am really looking into becoming a full-time knitter because I love knitting obviously. But I am so afraid of failing, do you have any pointers? I always love watching your vlogs it always inspires me to pursuit this dream of mines. Thank you for showing your knitty little life. It fills my weeks with so much happiness.

I was wondering this too - both knitting and designing. Do you have a partner that works outside the home so all the bills are not soley your responsibility? I'm a new sub and enjoying your channel.

Capturing these little moments of work during my day, walks in the park, visits of yarn shops really make me happy, and I thought that it could be of some interest to other knitters 😊
