I think one of the reasons you inspire so many people is because you are willing to experiment. Too many of us (especially of older generations) grew up with the adage that you must pick one career and focus only on that career until you retire. This is an old, outdated way of thinking but many of us are afraid to experiment which holds us back. As a long time card maker (And Katnip follower🥰) UPDATE, oh you are correct, I’ve been doing it wrong all these years😮 so ignore this - suggest scoring on the white inside as that gives you the “correct” v fold. and also buy a real bone scorer as the nylon ones provided with the score boards aren’t that good. The real bone ones give a real sharp, crisp score and are what professional book binder/makers use. Really admire all that you do👌🏼🙏🏼🤗 PS if you’re happy with current results,please disregard😋

@@aquaandsage if it was working for you and the cardstock didn't crack, no harm done, right? I think the technique is just to avoid cracking at the folds.

From what I’ve heard it might have to do with the grain of the paper? I have some paper that I have to score on the outside and some I have to score on the inside!

If u still want to use the sticker tabs you can buy a adhesive remover rubber where it takes off the residue left by stickers , glue etc

Maybe you can put the greeting card tabs on them while they’re in the plastic cello already ? Will still look cute and then don’t have to worry about residue

As a suggestion for the greeting card stickers, so you can still use them. Take the sticker and stick it to your clothes first then take it off and use it. It makes it not as sticky so it's easier to get off afterward and it covers up the adhesive just enough so it won't get on the cards anymore. Plus it can take lint off your clothes so it's a win-win 🤣

With the cards, you could try a paper band round them? Or a card corner triangle (or even a cloud shape). These may hold the card and envelope together a bit more perhaps? It is frustrating when you buy a specific product (and not a cheap knock off) and it does not do it's specific job.

Love when you add the voice over to what you're doing ♡ makes it just so cozy. Also, I want to start making stickers from procreate but the drawings just always look a little off. I'd love like a procreate video of a very in depth of what you usually doo when making your designs. Like....how you color them without it being pixely etc...

Depending on the volume of greeting cards you're producing in-house, you might consider an automatic scoring machine; a friend of mine owns a brick & mortar custom handmade wedding invitations and stationary shop and the machine saves her and her staff HOURS upon HOURS. They make thousands of custom invitations by hand and that machine is truly a lifesaver.

The cardstock your printing on is it pre-coloured?

I think she prints the card full bleed on white paper, so the front and back have color but the inside is the white paper.

Silly question, but wouldn't it be better to score the inside of the card? This way when you fold it the indention would be on the inside which is where you need the room for folding. Just a suggestion. Might find it easier to fold that way as well.

Hi Katnip, I was wondering if you have a video on your channel showing how the inside of the card can be made and printed on the same greeting card, I've been going around KZbin looking for a tutorial on how that can be done but still haven't found anything. I basically would like to do the whole card so the outside design and also the inside of the card as well but really struggling to know how it can all be printed on the same paper. Thank you so much for reaching out! I would just run it back through the printer, but place the paper down in the opposite side up, we keep the inside of our cards blank now though because it can shift and move in the printer!

Because I find that when using the matte setting on matte paper, the colours don't come out very well unless using one specific card stock.
