@angeloppa what boa did is encourage korean acts to branch out into the japanese market (which has always been bigger and far superior within the asian continent). there wasn't much point in young japanese people debuting as kpop idols, as kpop simply wasn't that big back then. however misamo changed that. it's not about expanding kpop into japan, it's about bringing young japanese talent into the korean industry.

I totally agree, it probably has to do with the contract between Warner Music Japan, JYP and TWICE/MISAMO as JYP works with other labels worldwide that compete with WMG

It’s because they are at the moment specifically being aimed for Japan. Other wise they wouldnt be distributed by Warner Music Japan, which is why they keep doing Japanese shows. They may do a Korean/ww release eventually, like JYP’s other co-managed groups like Boy Story, NiziU and Nexz did, but this one is for the intended market.

If you re not into how Japan industry works. Misamo is focused in Japan. Even though Misamo is a Twice's subunit they aren't there as a kpop group, japanese idols are exclusive of Japan. It's rare see japanese idols doing activities outside Japan. There are groups in Japan that with no problem they could be successful all around the world but they don't really need it. Japanese idols are made for japanese people. It's kinda sad but I'm glad Misamo is getting promo outside Japan as well

@bcs they aren’t missing anything. Their main focus is the Japanese market if not they would have wrote the songs in English. Also supporting them as an international fan isn’t impossible as well. Lastly the American market is heavily dominated by BG more than GG that it’s simply not worth profit wise to branch out there instead of China/Japan. It is also much easier to plan out schedules and events if it’s neighbouring countries.
