I once fainted at Six Flags, St. Louis. I was on the Ninja with the VR headset. If you don't know, The Ninja shakes your head a lot! I guess rather than fainting, the shaking knocked me out, because I remember blacking out.

This was the sketch that convinced my mom Studio C is awesome :) Now she waits patiently each Monday for a new episode! That's out mother daughter activities- staying up till three watching every single episode there ever was and laughing our heads off! XD

The big reason we have tropes about women passing out comes from French fashion of those times. The corset had been introduced and was fashionable in some circles, but it made it difficult to breathe. The problem of passing out became so bad that they invented a piece of furniture - the fainting couch- to help. With the unintended consequence of having the body compressed to where heavy breathing became nearly impossible, a means of preventing injury followed.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this sketch and Studio C! My family and I were laughing to WHOLE time when we watched this! (: This kinda reminded me of an experience I had. I fainted once in 7th grade when we were praticing for a choir concert. The AC broke in our room and we were all on risers, plus there were about 50 choir members. One girl fainted before me, and we were told to all get down off of the risers. Someone went to go get help at Admin. and the girl who fainted first was awake by the time they got there. She had this cut on her head and it was bleeding since she cut it on the corner of one of the risers. I looked down at my shoes and my vison kind of shrunk and slowly got black. Next thing I knew I woke up on the ground with the principal hovering over me. The first thing he said was, "Oh good, she's awake. You don't have to call the ambulance any more." That was a interesting experience. Anyways, thanks for all the fun sketches Studio C!!! (: (: (:
