The explosion of a bomb in the Wakching gi Mela of Leichil Maphol is looking so real that I even forget for a second that it is a filmy scene . No other scene of explosion in Maniwood is even close to it. Fabulous. The face of the car driver in the bank loot scene, the style of igniting the matches to light the cigarette by Texas, the way he catch the cowboy hat are all extremely good. The way of flinching legs in the first murder scene is very frightening one and looks so real. The minor details that brings us back to the 90's is highly commendable. Above all, the lyrics and the song will even melts the stone heart of anyone. The news reading and the old portable TV set.... it's just endless to describe. Overall, I would say, it is a masterpiece. It's a gateway to the new era of cinematography of Manipur.

I haven't got a single bad thing thing to say about this story, man. Edwin, the actors, and everyone behind the lens, I salute you guys. Manipuri cinema can no longer make budget as an excuse for all those poor films. This story proves that. The props, the fashion, cassette spinning, cards, vehicles, hell, even the bills are from the 90s. The details are incredible. What's even more realistic is the plot. People from that era know what growing up among terror, violence and loss can do to a person. But somehow we made it through friendship and love. This story perfectly captures that.

I'm from Mandalay Myanmar, Love & greatly appreciate this video. Good Chapter of Leichil Mafol! As soon as this final chapter part released, I downloaded it & been watched at once time. Background music is awesome & video editing is incredible. All the cast in the film did greatly acted! Love it specifically background music. Frankly to say as a Myanmar, I literally don't understand Manipuri/Kathe language whatever I love it. Pls Do add English subtitles later part of film so all can understand. In my opinion as a foreigner, the intention of this video may probably be filming the story of Manipuri Militant group which rebeled against India central government,(they still operating the dense forest along Indo-Myanmar 🇮🇳🇲🇲 border present day) & claim either Independent or self-administrative power for their state. let's cut to the chase, Studio Dominance, Uchek society, and Edwin is probably the phoenix of the Manipuri new era cinema. After seeing so many of their works I still itch to see more. My endearment started with Iriguchi Lai Lik Lei. I knew with that the horizon for the new cinematic has expanded and Leichil Mafol punctilious is as rare as hen's teeth in Manipuri's cinema. The director's treatment of time is a gambit of what has happened in the past as time connects us, I still remember the days where you are literally scared to go out of the house as soon as the sunset. As we move into another day and slowly see the fundamental changes in our society " Lechil Mafol", will remain as a time capsule. Truly gratifying the watch.

This is what I perceived from the 3 Music Videos(Aranba Yaorsu dum haibirk o) - In 1993, there were 3 siblings and a group of friends. The 3 siblings were somewhat like linked to some ammunition supplier and they robbed and do some stuffs. On the other side it's Texas and his friends and Raj was in the same class according to the photo and I don't know how he joined up with OWL. As a part of OWL's plan a bomb blast occured in the Wakchinggi Mela and Texas lost his girlfriend (friend). OWL then set up the siblings to counter with the police force and 2 of them were taken down by Texas's friend who was already a police officer at that time and he also lose his life. Then, Prinalini survived the situation and was told to go to Texas's home and there they met each other. Texas, then found out that Prinalini is a member of OWL and killed her and suicide himself and give the information about the 27 Sept 1995 Plan and on 26 Sept 1995 Raj and Vaiphei, the couple were caught and it seems Vaiphei already committed suicide at that time. This is just what I perceived, so there might be some mistake in what i just wrote. BTW superb work from Edwin and all the crew members 🔥

Those days 91,92,93 .. someone did and blame to someone..Yes 3siblings was linked with bomb supply and they are just like delivery person not linked with anyone.. But everyone think that blast was done by OWL but in real it was not that's why OWL assume that 3 siblings was linked with that blast..so they drop some letters to police officer door and 3siblings door.. so they met up and they killed each other that's OWL plan.. At last OWL team arrived and try to finished everyone..but one girl was alive they droved one paper..that's her task to do.. A big fan of OWL series. "Leichil Mafol" has set a standard so high now. Such an inspirational work.This must be the longest digital album story from Manipur. The story telling is so awesome, being a child from 1990's. It capture the essence of 1990's era , from coloration, to the things which was used, and sound too. I haven't skip a second, it reminiscent directly to our childhood. A big congratulations to the whole team who have created and recreated. After all 2020 is not that bad. Way to go guys.

Every once in a while there comes a masterpiece which establishes the formula for the later work of art in every art form everywhere. This one is that masterpiece which will set and define the tone of Manipuri cinema and other cinematographic creations in future. I strongly believe it'll be influential as well as become a benchmark for others. Now coming to the MV or short film itself it beautifully captures the zeitgest of 90's in Manipur though not exactly the case as shown here (may be to avoid unwanted attention). Unlike other Manipuri films this one doesn't suffer from editing errors despite being a period video which makes it harder to avoid instances of anachronism. Edwin didn't leave any stone unturned and made sure every single detail of that era is presented meticulously. The costumes, the surroundings, the props are all from that era. Today's generation won't ever understand how it was like to live in that hellish period in Manipur. So this should give them a little idea about it. And finally the music is just fantabulous, beautifully composed, each note complementing beautifully the lyrics and the emotional weight of the theme. Last but not least is all the actors who put in realistic performances and making this one a near perfect creation. I recommend this one to all of my friends as a way of showing my support 👏👏👏
