Absolutely!! His potential dynamic between himself, Dewey, and Vanessa feels like a missed opportunity. On the other side of this coin there was Squirrly’s then current health concerns. Between the insane popularity of cocaine AND Aqua-Net hairspray among NJ party girls in the 1980s the state’s o-zone layer has been obliterated. Summer shoots would have likely exacerbated his decomposition which has since been thought to be one of death’s most significant side effects. Not to mention Vanessa’s complaints about the former actor’s hygiene as well as her allegations about his “unsolicited sexual misconduct”. Dewey wouldn’t confirm or deny either of his former associates behavior but noted that Squirrely DID always appear stiff and Vanessa complained frequently that he “smelled REALLY REALLY BAD”.
