When I was in my early teens I would steal quarters from my brothers room and then go beg my mom to take me to toys r us to get a toy with the "money I saved" lol. One day when I was there I noticed a small box covered in letters I couldn't understand. When I took it off the shelf I realized it was some kind of toy from my new favorite show I had been watching on cartoon network, Gundam Wing. It was also my favorite gundam in the show, The Tallgeese. I freaked and told my mom that's what I wanted. When I brought it home opened it I realized what it actually was, a model. I loved models. I would sit with my dad and we would do rockets, airplanes, cars...whatever I could get my hands on. For an entire summer all I did was run back and forth to toys r us and buy basically every gundam or mobile suit from the series until I robbed my older brother blind lol. Fast forward to now, my mother was cleaning out her basement and found ALL of my gundams. I showed them to my kids who were as starstruck as I was almost 20 years ago. For Christmas this year I asked for a new gunpla and a basic tool set. I don't think I could ever pull off anything like this, but nonetheless I am looking forward to that feeling again from when I was a kid, in the best summer of my life. Great vid, new sub!

Customizing is the most fun you can have in this hobby. I don’t recommend PG because so few “work” together, but if you have the money.. MG is where it’s at. RG is too small, and hg is not enough of a challenge.

Okay, so I've never built a Gundam model kit in my life, but I did several military airplane models as a kid and they came out pretty hood for my age at the time. I also had a series version action figure of Zero Wing Gundam. And I may or may not have just bought a few MG sets to give me something to do to battle my depression, anxiety, and PTSD. So now I'm going to watch a boat load of your content and hope some experienced models are willing to give me some advice. I love how the red, black and white is an homage to the Barabtos, as the Barbatos is a gundam based of a demon, the Wing Zero is that of an angel. It's almost poetic.

3V micro led. They’re all over Amazon for cheap. They’re 1/6 the size of the head of a match and you want the 3v not the 5v. You will need a buck converter to run the 5v and it’s far too large to stuff into an mg. I’m ag-13 cells they run one LED for about 45min. 4cells and 3 led(like in the video) will end the battery in about an hour. With a little more electronics skill you can use a 1s lipo from a small drone. The one in my mg wing zero custom powers 16 led for hours. Hope this helps

Nothing is better than finding the perfect set of nippers for removing flashing. Find a good enough set and it barely needs sanding to smooth the seams and remove the injection marks. That's quite a nice quality Gunpla model even before customization. Panel fit is pretty good, details are not bad at all, and the joints seem to work out. Of course, the best thing about Gunpla is that there is really no limit to how much you can customize them.

Buy a couple HG and get to work yourself! Make “goop” (melt small sprue PCs In tamiya extra thin cement. It’s much easier to use than putty and can cover any mistake. I started customizing with MG because HG aren’t enough of a challenge, but that can be pricey. Modifying your kits is the most fun you can have in this hobby.
