If you know me, you know I love The #Evangelion Series. And I've always liked the design of the #Unit-00 when I first saw her and trust me, I was damn excited when the RGs got announced. @Studio G As someone that does some custom works as a hobby: There is a way to restore over-spray on a kit. You have to wet-sand the lighter over-spray on the darker tones of the kit. It is very delicate work but it saves you about 50% of the masking work. After this you can just mask the lighter tones and repaint those as opposed to both lights and darks. You should start sanding with a REALLY fine grit, probably in the 1000-1500, a sponge base being the ideal sanding board, nothing "solid" as it will dig into the kit otherwise. I always die inside when I over-spray on something that is pretty much complete lol. Great work nonetheless!

To solve the paint bleed on masking tape use clear caulk on the tape then paint so that when both the caulk and the paint are still wet remove the tape so that it will create an even line without bleeding over.

I have to provide some commentary on the sword build for anyone who may not be familar with bladesmithing. I specifically use that term because it is essentially what is going on here. There is absolutely no practical reason to make the blade with the tang and assemble the handle around it. That is how real swords are crafted and to carry the proper process over to modeling is truly remarkable. Flexin'... I see you Justin. 🤣 I do have a recommendation though. Not sure if you are familiar with the Molotow chrome pens or not. They are basically a flow style Gundam marker, but with mirror finish chrome paint. You can use it on the sharpened edge of the blade. As long as you have a well defined bevel, you can can go over that edge a bit and even replicate the hamon. You have to put it on fairly heavy and it's best to just put it on as the final layer and avoid touching it as much as possible. A normal gloss topcoat over it will distort the finish, but the Alclad brand clear gloss works fairly decent at preserving the realistic chrome look. There are videos here on YT that go into more detail. If you can't find any locally, you can always check online.
