Cable knitting has always scared me, but this tutorial is so easy to follow, I am itching to start (have to finish my blanket first). When I showed this to my daughter, she said the name was perfect, although it also put her in mind of Medusa. I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you for sharing this with us x

I made this last year as my first knitting project. I had to undo and redo my first 10-15 rows a couple of times, but once I got the hang of it it was extremely easy and fun to complete. It's my favorite scarf that I own, and it looks so intricate and visually interesting! Thank you for the video!

I have seen you before with your wonderful channel, but i just start and have a little think that making fashion stuff isn't easy so i start with amigurumi instead. But now, when i start making fashion stuff, i look up the internet for some scarf idea and saw your scarf, an absolutely beautiful pattern. Im planning on knitting this scarf, but 40 stitch cast on is A LOT but worth it since we making 2x2 ribs. Guess im visiting the yarn shop in a few dayy. Thank for your great pattern!

this looks great and your video instructions are very good since I haven't done cables in a long time. I would like to do this scarf as soon as I finish what I'm working on now. And I love that it's reversible because most cables patterns are to reversible. Hi Kristen. I don’t know how I missed this video. This pattern is stunning! I love the edges of the s art. It looks so warm and cozy! I don’t know if I have any straight needles in this size. I use circulars most of the time. I’ll have to get some! I did just buy some pretty cable needles from Lantern Moon. This might just be the project for them! Beautiful pattern and tutorial. Love the pattern and the tutorial is very easy to follow, but I'm so confused why it's not looking the same :( Ive done about 24 rows after the setup rows and the cable is going in a continuous S pattern instead of the flowy pattern you've shown in the photos. What am I doing wrong? 😭

Are you doing 4/4R with the cable needle across all 4 sections for row 3? That is what I did wrong first and had same issue. But she doesn’t show it in the video, you are meant to alternate 4/4R with K2,P2 within the sections of the same row.. Reread the pattern carefully, don’t only follow what she does in the vid! I had the same prob 4:55 “continue knitting row three in pattern” Hope this helps anyone

Beautiful! Would love to see a blanket pattern with this cable pattern. Finished this last summer in bulky yarn and just enjoying it now in the cold northeast winter. I made it as an infinity scarf and it’s so warm! I’ve been asked where I bought it LOL. I have lots of worsted weight 100% wool I’d like to use to make a few more. @@Travel-Wise You may have already received an answer for your question, but the instructions online call for a Yardage: 400 - 440 yards (366 - 402 m) and the sample yarn used (Malabrigo Chunky) comes in Yardage/Meters: 104 yards (95 meters) or 4 skeins. Other brands of chunky weight yarns will come in different yardages, but this is a lovely yarn to work with in many beautiful colorways
