Thank you for your review, it was helpful! As a cover band keyboardist who is getting a little older I have been looking a long time for a quality 73 note hammer action keyboard that won't break the bank. The sounds seem very high quality on the reviews I've heard, close enough to the Nord and at a fraction of the cost. I'm sold, I really like everything about the Numa, it will be a perfect bottom board to compliment my Kronos. I purchased one from Sweetwater a few days ago, no word on the delivery date yet.

Wow, this is incredible! One thing that really stands out is when he plays note by note on each keyboard, you can hear the distinct differences between them. It's impressive that the Numa is able to offer such high sound quality at a more affordable price point compared to the Nord. While there may be some synthetic sound quality in the piano presets of the nume, it's hardly noticeable, even less in a musical environment. It's worth noting that some of the Numa presets actually sound better than the Nord's, and vice versa.

Very good comparisson, like allways! I have and use both, Nord an Numa x 88. No question about the quality of Nord stage 3, its not just for status on stage, it is worth the money. And it is much more than pianos: great organ, great synth, sounds right out of the box. But the Numa x has something in its favour: the first time I tryed it I felt connected! The TP110 on Numa x88 might not feel perfect if you just hit some notes with the leyboard off, but playing it really for one hour, it felt natural to me, my playing got nimble and precise, and I allways get a smile on my face when I pick it up for a gig, just grab the bag with one hand, its incredible light and portable. The perfect balance between wheight and Key quality. Piano sounds are not perfect, very filtered at lower dynamics, low sustain on higher pith notes, release and other simulations are much better on the Nord, but the Numa just makes up on expressiveness! It's a joy to play, even if in detailed analisys it shows up a lot of flaws. Power button is the worst ( very week and unreliable ). Big key noise when the keys hit the bottom, your ground flour neighbours will complain, even if you use headphones. BUT, in the end, for me personally, it's a JOY to play!

@@amitev I got the Numa X as a substitute for a Kawai MP7SE, just based on portability and USB audio interface. Although the Numa X GT is highly praised for its keyboard action, it wouldn't make sense, since it weighs the same 22 kgs as the Kawai. The TP100 keybed alone is 6kgs, the GT400w is 14Kgs. Big diference here. If it stays fixed in the studio, then the GT would be a better choice, but then, the Kawai would be an even better choice.

The important thing to note is that the Nuba is highly editable. This is either just a preset, or a specific set of edits this guy has made. It sounds nice to my ears, but what I’m getting at, is likely enough it can be edited to give the sort of feel that the sampled sound in the NORD has. WAY more versatile! Nord samples are highly regarded, with good reason. Still, I think the modeling approach is better in 2021
@englishguy9680

The Numa uses real samples which are complimented by synthesis, so it’s a bit of both worlds. The Nords do sound and feel amazing, but they don’t have the depth of editing for piano that the Numa has. It seems like a lot of bang for the buck. Money no object the Nord wins every time

I have same question. I am very happy with sounds of Numa X and GT is even better version I can’t afford Nord and other Kawai & Yamaha stage pianos, Numa X-GT fits in my budget but I am only worried about the key action as I have used some of fatar weighted keyboard I was totally disappointed. Beginning it works fine but after using for some months it’s started making mechanical noise and also key response gets uneven. Kawai/Yamaha and Roland makes fantastic key action but now this TP400 look interesting, I hope it will be better and satisfied me. Problem is in country, there’s no demo facility for the Studio-Logic products and I am totally dependent on KZbin videos. I like the Numa X-GT very well designed and suitable for my use. If any one can share the videos of Key’s more explanation about the key action. Studio-Logic must make good demo, playing some Chopin’s and Listz music if they are saying the action is close to the real piano then they must make the videos. Thank you!

I really think, in my humble opinion and my ears, that the sound of the studiologic is very warm, realistic, it resembles my former old Steinway 200 max concert grand, removed due to space and economic problems, the sound is very defined, the north it's more like a "glassier" jazz or Japanese piano. In dynamics I can't say because it's you who plays and feel the differences under your fingers. Then the Norda costs twice as much, I don't know what type of keyboard they have on the Norda. From studiologic I saw, in a video, the assembly sequence, the balancing of the dynamics of each key using a robot driven by an excellent software that calculates all the possible pressures that a musician different from many others plays different musical genres from pop, classic, jazz blues, progressive. Difficult to explain until you try it. You made an excellent audio video comparison and your touch was the same for every type of sound and dynamic with different touches from soft to more intense, which you produced on both keyboards. This is all balanced. If this numa had been produced before, I certainly would not have purchased the arturia keylab mkii 88 keys, difficult and cumbersome to adjust for each vst, plug in, very complicated and demanding, etc, then the attached analoglab "V" package does not have all beautiful sounds. I'm considering a trade-in since I'm infatuated with the numa Yes, I had fun playing in my studio with imac logic sound cards and many other devices that I drive with 2 midi switches (a self-built 14ch midi with patch bay logic, an Esi 8ch). Greetings Modest, but no my preferit genius "Modest Petrovic Mussorgsky" 😅😂😂😅😂😂

The keybed is the same in both, graded hammer action made by Fatar. In fact Studiologic is the same company as Fatar so this is their in house competitor to Nord, but it really compares more with the Nord Piano, in price and features. The Nord Stage is an absolute monster and if you can afford one then it is the obvious best choice for a stage piano imo.

I always watch your all piano videos you are a amazing musician and really like the way you do the comparison. This two Model comparison is perfect. I always like Nord sounds but not happy with the keyboard action only thing recently they have used the Kawai RH3 action on Nord-Grand that was a really good move from Nord. Studio-Logic is also doing good in making the stage pianos. I was impressed with Numa-Concert, I was about to buy but then I skipped that model only because of fatar key action. I am more in to clasical playing and need better rough and tough key action like Kawai MP11SE/ Yamaha CP88 & Roland RD2000 this all three brands makes fantastic key action. When it comes to sounds somehow I really impressed with the Studio-Logic Numa-X-GT sounds are difference then all the Japanese make pianos and very importantly it’s less expensive. I have seen many videos of Numa-X-GT I really excited but little confused about the Key action. May be they have made new TP400 better in terms of response and longevity wise. I would be great if Studio-Logic or any other retailer make videos on key action, They must explain in details about all technical stuff and it would be great if anyone can play some Chopin and Listz pieces like yamaha Kawai Roland more focus on key action to promote their pianos it helps a lot to musicians like me because In my country there’s no facility of demo for the Studio-Logic. I work with the music industry from last 18 years and I know the importer personally, I will request them for a demo if they will arrange them it would be a great help to me as I am seriously interested in X-GT. Thank you so much great comparison. ❤️

To be frankly Japanese manufacturers make everything perfect and they are the very business oriented, why not! They will upgrade the model and provide some futures but they have always left some specs for the new model and this way they do the business and still most of the Japanese makers a leading. They are very good in doing market surve but now some companies which are not from Japan they are doing very good improvements and it may effect the business of current ruler. Numa X-GT’s TP400 action has a good reviews only thing is company like studio Logic not aggressive in promoting the brand like a Japanese company and also they have to be consistent like Japanese. Only Nord is doing well against the Japanese brands there was a time for Kurzweil/Gem but now Gem is no more in the market and Kurzweil is still struggling. Japanese are clearly winners I don’t think so other companies can come closer to them it take years to create faith. Thanks!

Thank you for comparing these. I had a Nord Electro for a few weeks, and decided to return it. It doesn’t have weighted keys, and their next model up , that has weighted keys, costs $3,100.** plus tax. If the new TP 110 keybed is at least not bad, it seems definitely worth a try. I have tried everything, (except Korg), and there’s some shortcomings about nearly all. I’ve had an Alesis QS8 for twenty years, with no problems. It was made with a Fatar,..(Studiologic).. keybed, which is still better than what Yamaha put in the recent CP 73. (I had to send that back)..I’m just looking for something easier to move, and of course, the sound technology today beats whatever Alesis had twenty years ago.

There's some magic on Nord sounds that makes it more cinematic, while I find the sound on the Numa X kinda closer, with more presence, more open maybe? Nothing wrong with either I guess, thanks for the review

For the first piano: Numa X all the way. Nord sounds thin and drenched in reverb. Second piano: this is a more even comparision. But I prefer the Numa X. Nord sounds canned. Electric Piano: Nord. Sounds more natural. Numa X sounds like a toy in comparision.

I cena Norda przesadzona mocno

The Numa X has a better action. That is all I care about. Sounds mean nothing. I've got thousands of dollars worth of VSTs instruments that are worlds better than any internal samples e.g. VSL Synchron Pianos.
