Studiologic SL Mixface Control Surface

Just getting familiar with this. While Cubase in recent versions have moved from supporting Mackie to a different way of linking to MIDI controllers, I found that selecting Cubase on the Mixface makes it easy to work with MultitrackStudio Pro which has a Mackie preset and then permits easy learning of a few more transport buttons. This was quite a relief.

The 'Select' Mode Button is redundant but can easily be mapped within the MultiTrackStudio (MTS) Remote Controller menu so that each 'state' button below a slider maps the rotary knob to a VST control of built-in or third party VST currently selected within MTS - avoids the complexity of any fiddly CC-level MDI control setup on the Mixface.

Эта штука стоит половину 88клавиш под которую модуль заточен. За такую цену, можно было и моторизированные фейдеры прикрутить.

How does the Shik controller compare to the MixFace from Studioligic?

they dont compare. SL Mixface is used more as volume faders and efx , while the shik is used mainly for sound mixing / morphing and efx.

Tell me you never used one without telling me. These, and most all, DAW controllers are great and last forever. Maybe you just shouldn’t try.

Not as good as real hardware these things break so easily and are not very useful not matter which brand.
