Ust found you. Have been wildlife artist for 40 years. Had stroke. Unable to paint for 3 years. Today, after struggling to get back to easel, have been inspired to paint my first work after three long years. I am 72 and starting again, by grace God

Very well done. And yes I agree with the palette knife, it does something to the painting in a good way, texture is also something many look for now a days I think. I love to follow your artist journey, my friend. I will look forward to having more time to paint again, when our son is more grown :) Have a lovely day

I love how this piece turned out! Sometimes starting over is the best thing we can do. I love the intensity you were able to achieve with the detail but also through the use of softer, indistinct areas. The combination of tighter detail and the loose palette knife work and the color changes in the background really makes this piece outstanding! And Happy Birthday!

You did a great second round on this painting. Now I like it much more. I am always in the same struggle. To get away from photorealistic to more impressionistic. For this reason I started exploring new mediums like soft and oil pastel.

Daniel I just love watching you paint! Recently I picked up the paintbrush again after many years of not doing much at all. It’s fun and therapeutic for me! I’m fascinated by the fact that you paint with acrylics. I’ve done a few in acrylics but I’m focusing now on oils mainly because of how long they take to dry which allows me much more subtle color blending. With that being said, I’m wondering if you use any sort of chemical agents to retard the drying time for acrylics? I feel like even when I apply paint thickly, acrylics dry far too fast for me, but it looks like you don’t have that problem. Just wondering how you approach this issue

Hey, can I please ask a question. I’ve tried some charcoal drawing on a mixed media pad but the putty, tombo mono erasers don’t lift the charcoal up to get the fur texture required. Is this down to my paper? I’m using Derwent charcoal pencils and some willow sticks. I just can’t get any detail in my drawing. Thank u ☺
@StudioWildlife2 ай бұрын
Derwent are quite a hard charcoal and quite difficult to erase, also smoother paper is better for detail work

A way to nearly perfection (with a look in an angle at it)... ...but maybe I found little mistakes. Something is wrong with the face/head (proportions), for example: the eye is too small, the chin is too big and angular, the nose..., the ear is too high and to far forward,... You can do a little bit better 😊

I received the business card confirmation with the leaping tiger saying Lyn Rose member September 2024 so I have paid the first month of $8.40 . I contacted paypal to cancel all ongoing charges seeing as I can't log on to membership page. I contacted Patreon but they assumed I was someone that had a Patreon page and wanted help with payments instead of a client of a Patreon artist, so that went nowhere. well its taught me never to sign up with anyone to try and support the channels, its too iffy, costs money that is lost and no one really cares about the client that much.

I tried to join your patreon but even though I paid and had confirmation it still asks me to join when I try to log on and nothing shows up on the patreon page as to my membership. I have sent emails and messages but have had no reply. Disappointed as I like your channel.

I’ve not seen any emails from you, they may have gone to my junk mail. I’ve just looked on my end on patreon and I can’t find you as a member when I search your name so there isn’t anything I can do on my end. This may be a fault of patreon themselves so you may need to contact their help team rather than myself
