great advice. It's all about finding a niche. Maybe making a ton of pieces for others for free is a little exagereted, it can bias your thinking process into considering your art as worth not a lot

I currently do realistic watercolors with wildlife and botanical subjects but I am super interested in trying out some acrylics! I am a little confused on how the difference between matte and glossy affect the painting... I was considering getting lefranc flashe vinyl acrylic paint that has a matte finish like gouache, but is typical more satin/glossy acrylic paint better suited for detailed paintings?

I’m not really too sure on which is better as I have never tried specifically glossy or Matt paints. I mostly use the sennelier abstract range of paints for my pieces with some liquitex and Windsor and Newton paints too
