Hello! Upcoming 2nd year Pharma student ako, my only suggestions are to review your knowledge about basic chemistry since most Pharma subjects are chemistry-based. Another thing is to familiarize with unit conversions, ratio and proportion for PharCal (very heavy minsan ang calculations and confusing siya huhu). Other than that, since freshmen kayo, your professors will most likely help you adjust rin naman with the lessons :)

Hi po. Undecided padin po ako kung pharma po ba kukunin ko po talaga kasi natatakot po ako sa science, especially chemistry. Need po ba magaling sa science pag mag pharma po? Natatakot po kasi ako baka diko po maintindihan mga lessons.

hello! pharma is a health allied field kaya fundamental talaga dito yung sciences like chemistry, biology, and even physics. when i started, i did not have the best foundation in chem, bio, and physics but along the way, i was able to manage it naman through practice and review. hindi naman kailangan maging super magaling because i even have friends in uni who took ABM and HUMSS (strands that are not very into technical science) but still pursued pharma. don't be afraid because as long as you persevere and put in the hardwork, you will get by 🤍.

thank u so much 🤍! if you are referring to your stay in college, wala namang bawal na scical na gamitin pero pagdating sa board exams, doon kasi nagkakaroon ng restrictions. kaya as much as possible, gamitin mo na yung calcu na pwede sa boards para yun na yung gamitin mo all throughout.

i am not sure how other unis conduct their pharma courses whether they have more academic breaks and rests, or gigil pagdating sa schedule for school works that compromises the students' well-being. but one thing is for sure that any school that offers pharma has the same curriculum like the one i am taking (same subjects but different names lang). if you're going to choose one, make sure that the tuition fee is reasonable, it is near you, and you have confidence you will learn a lot from that certain uni.

hi!! Ang gastos talaga ay magmumula sa pagbili ng mga books, materials for labs, even labgown. In short: magastos talaga. di ko na kasi sure kung nag price increase pero usually yung mga books pinakamalaki na is 3,500 tapos sa lab materials naman, di naman umaabot ng 500 maliban na lang kung mag-aambagan kasama groupmates mo

Hello po,is there a required grades to get into pharma?this is one of my choices po kasi and I'm afraid baka di ako makapasok dito since HUMSS strand ko and average student lang ako :(

sa CET, may certain number of slots lang na binibigay sa isang program and in order to pass pharma, you need to exhibit proficiency in science, math, and english subjects. im not sure sa "passing grade" to be admitted pero importante na makakuha ka ng 80 and above na scores para sure pasok ka na hihi. I believe na kahit anong strand na meron ka magagawa mong makapasa kasi may iba rin akong kakilala na galing sila from ABM, GAS, and HUMSS strands before but decided to take pharma 🤗. When it comes to the actual course naman, ang passing grade kasi samen ay 75 (3.00). Not sure lang sa ibang unis. And regarding sa laptop, yes need talaga 🥺 aside sa online class setup tayo ngayon, marami kasing ppt, pdf, and other documents kang kailangan isave as reviewers and notes mo. Madalas din ang mga presentations and projects kahit noong pre-pandemic pa.

hello alexandra! in studying, always set a specific schedule. For me, i usually study at 5pm-11pm, 1-2 subjects, because that's when my brain is able to handle all the info given to us. In pharchem, try to practice 1-3 calculation problems per day since it also has computations. In terms of memorization, try to group similar elements, compounds depending on their families. Maliban sa pag-aaral sa subject, pag-aralan din natin how our instructors do their exams and assessments. I hope this helped you!
