Hi Sir, My name is Adhi, and I currently reside in Dubai. I hold a Masters Degree in Multimedia and Bachelor Degree in computer science and have 6 years of work experience in the fields of HR and Administration. My husband and i are planning to move to Finland pursing an MBA in supply Chain Management on a student visa and him accompanying me on a dependent visa. Hi Adhi, pursuing a master degree in Finland shouldn’t be a problem. Student visa depends upon the acceptance letter from university and other required documents. However for dependent visa you should enquire at official website for Finland visa. Regarding job, there are always possibilities of getting job and it depends majorly on your academics.

I believe I replied you earlier as well for the same question. But for your easy reference I am pasting the reply here again…. I hope this will answer your queries I’ll give in some inputs as one reference but please do your own research before you take any steps forward. I would say that the focus should be to get in a reputed company first in same sector. The salary would really depend on which role he’s selected for. There are companies like Fortum in the energy industry which could be something to watch out for. Honestly, I think to get in an equivalent role as per his experience shall be very tricky because of less/non existent local experience in Finland. Secondly language shall be another barrier, if he knows Finnish/ Swedish that could also help. A role which might be a bit easier to get in can be something like Engineering Manager who should be able to make approx 7K-10K Euros p.m. in Helsinki (capital region). In cities like Tampere it shall be relatively lesser as cost of living is cheaper. Regarding Finland, after a certain amount of years of experience (8-10 years), expected salary depends more on role and less on experience in Finland. Salary hike is not that steep after some years here. This is because for a long time in Finland, there existed people work in a single company during their whole lifetime even if it’sa medium sized company. Further taxes are also increasing with your increasing salary.
