Hello. I live in Missouri and was looking for a KZbin study on Acts and found Dr. Swann by accident and really liked him and this study. What I am about to say, I hope the Holy Spirit helps me say it correctly so as not to offend anyone because I feel blessed to have listened to this. When I finished chapter 2, I then looked up Ivy Church. Since I live in a city that is 92 percent white, and I am a middle-aged white man, I honestly felt like an intruder. I was wondering if I would be welcome should any church member know I was looking into your church and congregation. I realized it was stupid for me to feel that way. It is an honor to follow this teaching; it speaks to me and makes me remember that my Christian brothers and sisters have at least the most important things in common with me. I am making it a point to pray for your church and would love it if you would pray for me. You have a lonely old midwestern white dude who felt out of place (and maybe that was a hidden prejudice I had and didn't recognize?), but who feels connected to you now because of this study and wishes you well. In Jesus Christ's sweet name, thank you. I se the Holy Spirit working through you all.

Rhonda, we appreciate your wanting to be a part of Ivy. If you are ever in town, feel free to stop in and check us out. If you are out of town, we will be launching a Facebook group soon to be able to stay connected with those out of our local area. God is everywhere - in the World Changer's ministry and here at Ivy. If you would like to connect with both, it only gives you more opportunity to experience God. For a specific answer to your question, pray that God directs you in that area.

Where in the bible is any mention of a Baptist church please? Also in st Matthew 28 - Jesus says baptism in the name (singular) of the Father, and of the son and of the Holy Ghost, but baptism was only done in the name of Jesus Christ. The bible says, there is no other name whereby we can be saved So why are people still refraining from baptising in a Jesus Name?
