Yes, earplugs are better than ear phones, clean ur ears properly, and remove ear plugs after 2 to 3 hrs of study and take 10 min break and keep again while reading, and one more thing before u keep clear the water in ur ears completely(if u took bath) and wait for 5 to 10 min to get dry or use earbuds and use this earplug. One pair can be used for 2 days (if used for 10 hrs a day) based on ur usage. But it is always better to use new one daily for no irritation. A little pain u get initially after that very mild pain u get very often and some dizziness but ur desire to read can make u move on. Nothing to worry, I used this for 2 months for my studies during exams. And nothing happened to my ears. This comment will help u people. When u get irritated change the ear plug to new one and throw old one. When ever u remove ear plug keep it in no dust place I mean put it in cover to prevent dust attached to it.
