I feel the same as you about not overworking yourself! 2nd year at UCL too and I always feel guilty about needing to take the evenings off and get my 7-8 hours sleep when I have all these exams and assignments due but its the only thing that keeps me productive and manages my anxiety. I honestly think the student hustle culture is just unnecessarily glorified and we need to be taking this time to learn how to build healthy habits because there's always going to be stress and deadlines in life :)

I know it’s easier said than done, but please don’t feel guilty! You NEED to take time off every day to be able to work effectively 🙏🏼 Also sleeep is SO important to be able to consolidate what you’ve learnt. If you read ‘Why We Sleep’ the author actually says 7-8hrs is a minimum! You can do this 💪🏼 Take care of yourself 💕 - from a Masters student (I did my undergrad at UCL)

very very well said - unfortunately, it's easy to loose yourself in it even when you intuitively know that's not how you operate, just bc everyone else seems to be doing "fine". from my experience, though, i found that keeping my balance was the only thing that prevented me from a complete burnout!!

and yes SLEEP should ALWAYS be a priority, even (or especially) amidst these intense periods of stress and hard work !!

hii i completely understand about you feeling like you need to go on your phone first thing in the morning ! what i do is that i have disabled access to all my apps until 10am which is around the time i have got ready for the day ! xx

This is the second video of yours that I am watching, currently in the middle of end-sem exams and super stressed. I would like to tell you how I discovered your channel. Every day in my break I would open youtube to watch something, ANYTHING. For a couple of days consecutively the video that you posted after this one kept popping up on my home page, like it wouldn't go away. And every time I would look at it for a milli second but didn't feel like clicking on it. But finally I budged and even though this is only the second video of yours I am watching, I know I am gonna stick around. Ik you're gonna be one of my favs from now. I can sense it. (PS: this is almost the exact same way I have discovered all my other favourite youtubers) Also reallllllly felt what you said about having that weird relationship with your phone. smh.
