Points to be maid : 1. সব ভালো ছাত্র বড় বড় কোম্পানির বড় অফিসার হয় না, সবসময় তারাই উদ্যোক্তা হয় তা না 2. সবাই উদ্যোক্তা হতে পারেনা, হলেও সবাই বছরের পর বছর চালায় যেতে পারেনা, সবার এই যুদ্ধ করার শক্তি থাকেনা 3. ফ্রিল্যান্সিং সবাইকে দিয়ে হয়না 4. পলিটিক্স এর ছ্যাচা খাইলে দেখবেন স্বাধীন ব্যাবসা কীভাবে চলে 5. খালি ভালো ছাত্র দেশের বাইরে যায় এটা সত্য নয়, সবাই এই খরচ চালাতে পারেনা 6. আমরা ভারতবর্ষের লোকেরা UK, USA, Canada- overall European দেশ গুলোর ভালোবাসা এখোনো কাটাতে পারলাম না, বিদেশে পড়া বলতে লোকেরা খালি এগুলাই বোঝে, এখন আবার যুক্ত হয়েছে Australia. এইগুলোতে তো কোটি টাকা লাগবেই, কিন্তু আমরা এশিয়ার বাসিন্দা হয়ে এশিয়ান দেশগুলোকে যেন দুই চোখে দেখতে পারিনা.....অথচ এসব দেশে পড়তে যান, কেবল দেশের চাইতে দুইগুণ বা সর্বোচ্চ তিনগুণ খরচ লাগবে যা আপনাদের পছন্দের দেশের খরচের 1/4 খরচ.....কিন্তু না, এশিয়াকে তো আমরা পাত্তাই দেই না🙂 7. দুনিয়ার অনেক বড় বড় লোকেরা স্থানান্তর এ অন্যদের আগ্রহ দিয়েছেন, একটা মানুষ বিদেশে চলে গেলে বা গ্রাম ছেড়ে শহরে আসলেই তারা 'ব্রেন ড্রেন' এটা একটা নিচু কথা, কেন আপনারা সবসময় এই মানুষ গুলোকে গিল্ট ফিল বা লজ্জিত করতে চান? এরা ছাড়া কি আপনারা অথর্ব? এরাও তো দেশের মানুষ, এরা যে নিজেদের পরিবারের অর্থনীতিতে কোনো প্রভাব ফেলেনা তা নয়, বিশ-পঁচিশ লাখ মানুষ নিজের পরিবারের জন্য বাইরে কাজ করছে, অথচ কথা বলার সময় প্রবাসীদের নূন্যতম সম্মান দেননা আপনারা, অথচ প্রতি অর্থ বছরে কত রেমিটেন্স আসলো সেটা ঠিকই গর্ব করে বলেন। আবার এই মানুষ গুলোকেই নেমোকহারামের কাতারে ফেলেন আপনারা সো কল্ড দেশপ্রেমীরা..... 8. একজন মানুষ যদি সহজ বা নিরাপদ জীবন কিংবা তার পছন্দ বা ইচ্ছা বসত বাইরে যেতে চায় বা সেটেল করতে চায় তাহলে এটাকে নিচু চোখে দেখার কি আছে? কোই, যখন ইউটিউবাররা দেশ মুভ করে তখন তো আপনারা ছিঃ ছিঃ করেননা। কেনো হিজরতের কথা কখনো শোনেন নাই? বাইরে থেকে এদেশে লোক আসলে তো খুব খুশি হন, কই তখন তাদেরকে তো সেলফিশ বলেননা.... 9. Diaspora-অভিবাসী, এই টার্ম টার একটা বিশ্বব্যাপী গুরুত্ব রয়েছে, যেটার উন্নয়ন এবং সভ্যতার সাথে একটা সম্পর্ক আছে। আজ যেসব উন্নত দেশ বা এলাকা, এমনকি ইতিহাসে কিছু উন্নয়নশীল সময়ের দিকে তাকালে দেখতে পাবেন, অভিবাসন এটার একটা অংশ। একাধিক এলাকার মানুষের সংস্কৃতি এবং মতামতের বিনিময় ও মিশ্রন সবসময় ইতিবাচক। তাই এগুলো উৎসাহিত করা উচিত, আর মানুষ বাইরে গেলে তাদের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গির পরিবর্তন হয়, চোখের সীমানা বাড়ে, Horizon, বুচ্ছেন? দিগন্ত বিস্তৃত হয়, যেটা আমাদের বাঙালিদের অনেক বেশি দরকার। ওসব দেশকে এতো GLORIFY- মহিমান্বিত করার দরকার নাই, বরং এগুলো আরো স্বাভাবিক করেন, মানুষ যাবে, থাকলে থাকবে না থাকতে চাইলে বা পারলে চলে আসবে.... মনে রাখবেন, মহানবী হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) বলেছেন, 'জ্ঞান অর্জনের জন্য প্রয়োজনে চীন দেশে যাও'

দেশের অবস্থা দেখেছেন আপনি?দেশের শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা দুর্দশাগ্রস্ত।কেন তরুণরা যাবে না European Union, UK,USA,Canada,Australia,New Zealand?কারণ সেখানকার শিক্ষাব্যবস্থার মান বাংলাদেশের চাইতে ১০০০০০০ গুণে ভালো।আর দেশের কিছু তথাকথিত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় নিয়া আমরা খালি গর্ববোধ করি আপনি তো জানেন না QS ranking এ আমাদের কোন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্থান পায় না।কোন বছরই পায় না।যারা সৎভাবে কাজ করে তাদের কেউ সাহায্য করে না।তাদেরকে অপদস্থ করা হয়।আজ পর্যন্ত আমরা নিজেদের Space Program বানাতে অপারগ।যেটা নাকি ভবিষ্যতে টিকে থাকতে দরকার।ভারত ঠিকই করছে।কিন্তু আমরা বসে আছি। নিজে পারলে দেশকে ঠিক করেন এসব বড় বড় কথা না বলে।আপনার কিছু পয়েন্ট সত্যি যে মানুষ খামোখা Showoff করে আর অন্যদের ছোট করে।তাও বিবেচনা করবেন।

I'm studying Software Engineering at Sichuan University, China with full free scholarship (tuition fees+ hostel fees free). China provides full free scholarship for bachelor's degree in English taught. I suggest for bachelor's don't go for expensive countries. If you get 100% scholarship, then go for it!

I suggest do undergrad in asian countries eg.( Japan, china , Malaysia etc .) It cost same as private uni in bd .Then do masters in us , canada , Australia etc and settle there . Bangaldesh education sucks and uni in bangaldesh is horrible everyday you'll regret when facing traffic Hassel and chaos .

What an episode. Great host, guests and topics. I hope this video goes viral and actually educates the people of our country. I think the mindset of our people is improving slowly. Sameer or any other KZbinrs, we need an episode with the same concept but with female students. I know personally that there are families who let their boys go abroad but don’t allow the girls to go, which is such a crappy thing to do. Also personal opinion, Bangladesh universities have improved drastically but they are not there yet. The country is young and it will take time, but small things like registering for courses to getting help academically or emotionally can be improved faster. The students have lots of opportunities to take advantage of, to do great things and improve the quality of our universities and our country.

I really want to see and know what female students who've been abroad for undergraduate studies feel about this versus students who've completed their degrees at home. It'll be very helpful for young female students planning to get their undergrad abroad in the hopes of receiving a quality education, the privilege to work part-time jobs that pay well and be independent in an environment that "comparatively" safer.

Great discussion but just wanna add a little smth. The opportunities for women in this country is not the same as men. Most women I know, including myself are asked to stay at home, either for safety reasons or because of the mindset that women belong at home to serve while men go off to work. Even if they’re given the freedom, not a single woman is safe in bangladesh. Speaking from personal experience, I was harassed by two home tutors as a kid and every single day that I go out men give me dirty looks and ofc the occasional catcalling is always present. It is incredibly tough for women to make it to the top positions in this country, even if they have the will and the dedication to do so. And yes these experiences are mostly exclusive to females because I have a brother and while both of us are privileged, Alhamdulillah, currently studying in a private school, I have to constantly see resources being handed to him on a silver platter so he can use that privilege to his advantage while I’m held back by my own family and the outside world. This is why most startups in bangladesh are found by men. So yeah I’ll always choose abroad over bd in any case where I can actually make something of myself with my own talent. I don’t think I’ll ever want to give back to a country that never gave me anything in the first place

Let me clear one thing not all the universities have higher tuition fees, there are many universities available which have lower tuition fees even under 25k cad. If you came from a middle class family you can also choose colleges for bba, bsc. If you have the goal to study abroad go ahed no one stopping you. Your 65-70 lac investment will shine your future.

Where's the mention for opportunities such as research, internship, teaching assistantship, on-campus jobs, coding competitions etc for undergrads in US-Canada? These experiences are crucial for successful graduate acceptance or career goals. Another major topic I was hoping they'd mention is the connection formed with professors. A strong recommendation from a professor/researcher can make all the difference in getting funding/acceptance for further studies! Undergrads in USA also get work authorization through OPT which essentially opens up a myriad of opportunities right after graduation. This is a substantial advantage for CS students who might not be interested in further education, but wants to build a tech career instead.

Nafees alim is basically baised. I have seen some of the podcast of him where he was saying the same thing like don't go for undergrad bla bla.There is huge role of gender. Bangladesh is very different towards a male and female as well as whether they are from privileged background or not. There aro tons of factors are working for the idea of going abroad or staying in BD. They are bringing only some topics which won't be suitable for every individual. A girl is being abused continuously by her surroundings no matter how much hard work she is doing. But somehow if she could manage the financial matter , part Time job in abroad, and all other things. Then why th you guys are suggesting her to stay in bd where she could be married off early. If she is mentally strong enough that she could handle all by herself rather than being mentally depressed then why th u guys are only talking about startups. Why? Same goes to a boy. If he his thinking that he can earn good amount of money by going to abroad and support his family very securely then why u are prioritising the idea of be here and do some startups blah blah. Like dude first of all learn how to answer such type of question which includes so many prospectives then come to podcast.

Which is surely expensive but what if u could manage partial to full scholarships? In this country a student is getting only 25k salary in their first job. What will they do with this? Huh? Not everyone is gonna get into buet bruh. Spending about 15 lakh in private only to get 25k salary! Isn't it hilarious? Where they only priorities the versity they came from not the skill and bd is overpopulated country so it's damn tough to get a good amount of salary where u will have to spend around 25-35 lakhs and will end up with a good amount of salary. Thus we will able to pay this debt off. And yeah there is a huge role of gender. A girl can't be establish more than a boy in bd but in other foreign countries for sure. Same goes to boy . A boy can easily provide their families by going to abroad. And religion depends on individuals. How strong ur iman is. Why choose usa or states like that where u can't practise ur religion? Choose Australia or NZ or something else. Lastly i wanna say that don't demotivate someone of their dream whether it's for expensive investment or not. It's not ur money Nafees salim it's their money they have the right to make decisions where to spend it. Who are u to give general advise? If someone is willing to finish their undergrad here in bangladesh obviously best of luck and if someone is willing to go to abroad also best of luck. Best of luck for all of them to their dreams.
