0:40 We were living in that building's sixth floor on the right behind the church. Lots of memories from my childhood. 23 years passed since that. In 1995 the U35 was opened which was previously a tram line. There was also a Karstadt located at the end of the bridge, where you could play NES. I guess its gone by now....

Well tbh i would enjoy to study in a foreign country. You learn the language a bit, experience a new culture. Depenending on what you are studying you also find english courses, the Chemistry Master for example is in english language.

I dont really know anyone who attends these subjects but if they are organized like mine it should be interesting and fun. Still i cant really compare in this area since im not familiar with your subject and how it is at other universities.

I'm not sure if it's different for me because I'm going there on a scholarship from the US next spring. But the head of my graduate department told me there is about a 250 euro fee. I couldn't speak for tuition or anything because, for me, it's all covered in my scholarship.

Studying is free in most German states. You only have to pay a social fee (around 300€ per semester and you get a public transportation ticket). But you have to pass a German language test "DaF" to study in German.
