If you want to seek knowledge it’s best to take from the scholars. You can read books of tafsir or Hadith and listen to the scholars like Abdulrazzaq Badr. Highly recommend him, he’s so humble and one of the best living scholars. Mufti Menk isn’t very reliable to take from. People like him and Norman Ali Khan are just motivational speakers, not scholars though, so they’ve got a lot of mistakes (even if unintentional). Also the most important is learn Arabic to fully understand the Quran. Lots of masjids is have Arabic courses for really cheap

@@randaabdullah8708 Wa iyyaki. People usually recommend Ibn Kathir or AlSaadi for tafsir. I think it’s best to start with AlSaadi because his tafsir was aimed at being understandable for anyone and not just students of knowledge. If you can, you should read it with a teacher on the correct aqeedah that would be the best! A teacher clarifies so much that simply reading cannot do. It’s why I recommended watching lectures of the ulama in my other comment because learning from them clears up a lot of common mistakes people make when reading on their own. For Hadith everyone always recommends the forty Hadith of Imam Nawawi. You can find Sheikh Saleh Fawzan’s lectures made into a book and translated to English. It’s really good. Those two are fantastic places to start inshaAllah, for Quran tafsir and for Hadith. If you have the tafsir or Hadith commentary book, then it makes taking notes much easier. You don’t need to write down much that way. Of course if you can then at the same time learn Arabic if you don’t already speak it. I noticed there are some points the tafsir books don’t elaborate on as it just comes with understanding of the language. Arabic is essential to taste the sweetness of the Quran. May Allah make it easy for you and all the Muslims

Watch vids by bin baz, bin uthaymeen, luhaydan. Whole different level than the english dawah scene. also read their books and books like umdatul ahkam, alaqeedatul wasatiyyah and ibn kathir with a teacher upon the correct aqeedah to clarify things. very important point is to ask Allah to guide you and grant you ilm

@@NipaNim you can turn on English subtitles, but usually I find them already edited in the video. Lots of channels translate the fatwas and lectures to English nowadays Forgot to mention but of course number one is the book of Allah. Read the Quran everyday (out loud because silent reading isn’t considered to be reading Islamically, like how in Salah we have to actually pronounce the letters when reciting Quran or saying the other essential parts of salah, same goes for reciting outside of prayer) and try to at least do hifz or revise past hifz every day

Brothers I noticed about 3 mistakes from 14:25 onwards. It’s كما كتب على الذينا من قبلكم (not قبلهم) and الذينا سبقونا بالإيمان (instead of في الإيمان) and والسابقون السابقون with a و. Alhamdullilah Allah has preserved his book as Muslims always correct their fellow brothers and sisters. I know you added it in Arabic correctly, but I mentioned it for those who can’t yet read it and who only listen to the aya. And just take care with the harakat also for the ahadith. Although many of us haven’t yet memorized as much Hadith as either of you, may Allah increase you, you have a lot of Arab followers or at least people who know Arabic who pick up on these small grammar changes. We should do our best to preserve the hadith and ayat, the references are nice but just adding a small comment if there’s a mistake or editing it out would be better

Wa alaykum assalaam, a really good place to start is with AMAU academy online. Abutorab himself studies using this too. It has an app and an online website but you do have to pay. It teaches you everything from fiqh to aqeedah to tafsir, science of hadeeth etc and you will be taking knowledge from ustadh abdulrahman hassan and ustadh Tim humble inshallah. It is really beneficial and I 100% recommend

Probably you should ask the ulama not youtbe comments. remember zaid and abu torab while their hifz is much much better than a lot of people in the west, they’re not ulama

according to the ulama it’s haram. if Aisha radiy allahu anha never showed herself or gave talks, but gave knowledge behind a screen, then how can it be halal for women to show themselves in front of thousands or millions of people online? and their knowledge is much less than that of Aisha’s. also a lot of ulama say women should cover their faces too. Covering completely is the best hijab, a woman who covers completely is better than one who doesn’t. You can look up scholars like saleh luhaydan, bin baz, bin uthaymeen. These are the ulama who teach students of knowledge and give fatwas. U can find so many of their videos and lectures translated nowadays and they are super beneficial. If you find abu torabs hadith memory impressive, these scholars have memorized probably hundreds of thousands of Hadith! Allahumabarik in each 2 min clip they mention at least one Hadith or aya and u can find thousands and thousands of clips from them (not belittling Abu Torab as he’s memorized way more than me)

from a female perspective, I think it's good- I like watching female content, and without being able to watch muslim women I have to watch non-muslim and a lot of the time it changes my psyche etc. Makes me more feminist etc, something I've noticed. That’s why people also encourage new muslims to go to the masjid in the community. real life isn’t the same as online and you need inperson sisterhood. this is why people should avoid asking KZbin comments because people give personal views instead of going to see what the Quran and sunnah say. (same applies to me if I want to know something I shouldn’t do it based on my own view but rather I should see what my رب would want from me)
