Your videos are like fun little pep talks :) I actually did a little studying today (worked on writing words in katakana, watched a couple videos on NHK World-Japan's site), and while I got a teeny bit side-tracked, I think I earned a break by watching your latest video! I might sit down today and write out an honest-to-goodness study schedule... I'm never entirely consistent with my studies.

I'm on a language study break currently. More from necessity than from burnout. In the middle of moving and my mind is in 50 different places right now with figuring out what I have left to pay, what still needs to be packed, and figuring out logistics as my move date gets closer. Plus, I already packed all of my study materials away and I don't want to go digging through packed boxes again XD Currently Studying Thai, Korean, and Tagalog with a few others put on hold for now (Japanese, Mandarin, Romanian). I'm keeping up with my iTalki lessons once a week though so I have some study time, even if it is 30 to 45 minutes a week right now until I'm done moving and can settle back into a steady routine.

Hello! Thank you so much for your video! I am really struggling right now to stay motivated in my Japanese. Sometimes it gets so bad I don't even care to see anything about Japan but I can always tell that love for it is still there! Right now it's rekindling, it was enough to watch this video and now I'm a lot more motivated to start again! Where I live there isn't much stuff to do with Japanese and not many people are into it (in fact hardly anyone cares at all about the interest) so it's so hard to stay motivated. But thank you so much for your videos! They help me a lot!!!!!

Hi Mori! I've been watching your videos for a long time and I love how positive you are, which gives me motivation as well! In the future, I would like to watch a video about your experiences in Japan, how hard it is to find work, get by with the language, etc. Because I've been planning to move to Japan for a long time but... I've got no degree and I've heard that I cannot find a job if I don't own one. :'( I'd love to listen to your experience on the matter! Keep up the good work! 頑張ってくださいね!

Omggggggg. I'm stressed with studying for class promotion test/end of semester year final test, and I saw your video which is my motivation source, and also I haven't studied japanese seriously again from mid of February and forget about a lot of kanji and grammar although i still undestand japanese until around n4 level. Just want to give a tip that if you write something with light pink/orange and then overlay it w/red plastic sheet, you can't see the word that you wrote!

It's like a coincidence. I stopped learning Japanese about half of the year ago and almost dropped it. But I got the vibe of the last year, when I started learning. I forgot everything.. But in these past days I learned many kanjis and I was really proud. Actually seeing other people learn more lowers my motivation, but I cannot stop watching them :I . Yeah, this was my story time :D. P.S. I dropped it bc I had a hard time at school and I have strict parents, so.. 💀🔫

I want to thank the author of the channel for making this beautiful and useful video for us! Many people are embarrassed to speak a foreign language if they have no speaking skills. People are afraid to hear criticism from others in their address. It all comes from having a psychological complex - to make a mistake. But, after all, he who does nothing is not wrong! In Yuriy Ivantsiv's workshop "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language" states that we need to talk as much as possible: with yourself, with the mirror, with inanimate objects, with children and with pets. Find an interlocutor in real life or online. Talk without shyness. People won't care how you speak. They understand that you are a foreigner, as long as they understand you. They may even acknowledge your progress in their language and compliment you. However, always be prepared for criticism of your speaking skills. If you have the will to speak, you will gain an interesting interlocutor to consolidate your knowledge. Everyone is strewn with mistakes - don't be afraid to learn from them. As the Latin wisdom says, "walk and thou shalt not go astray". In the book "Polyglot Notes" by YuriyIvantsiv an entire chapter is devoted to the development of spoken language. Here you will find many useful tips and each student can choose a technique that suits him or her best! I wish you all the best of luck in your language learning!
