For all of you wondering about this ... Urjit Patel is the one who recommend to take inflation as the priority for rbi and make it in the bandwith of 2 to 6%. There is always a clash between RBI and the government. RBI wants to minimize inflation which will reduce the cost of essential products whereas the Government always wants to increase inflation which leads to an increase in jobs and thus growth of the economy. RBI wants to hold the extra money because that will make increases the reserve of RBI and worldwide the trust of RBI will increase which helps them to take loan at low price.

How banks define NPA has also changed.. if anyone failed to pay, bank used to restructure the loan which was categorised as NPA, NOW if restructuring is done it is not categorised as NPA.. Thus NPA the figures decreasing..

The firm here itself is a bank, so it doesn’t need money from government. Moreover, the economy was slow at that time, so government needed money to kick start infrastructure projects to pump money in economy. The money that govt. invests on infrastructure ultimately seeps to the core of the economy.

GST simplified tax, which ultimately helped Indian businesses and attract global manufacturers. Because of these decisions, there was a economic stagnation for some quarters. But because of these decisions, we have been able to achieve a lot in terms of economic growth. If Urjit Patel and Raghuram Rajan were right then India should have slumped in to slowdown. In fact Raghu Ram Rajan is wishing from last 5 year for Indian economy to slow down, everything going against his wishes. Now , new governor shaktikant das has been ranked best governor by Global finance magazine. Seema like, the problem was with Raghuram Rajan and Urjit Patel, not with country's economy. Still you will reject all these facts and just go by your opinion as you're blonded by the ideology based hatred.

@@mushtaq_shaikh Fun fact: All liberals and leftists mocked shaktikant das when he was appointed as governor. Raghuram Rajan gave interviews to foreign media that Indian economy is doomed. But still no one is asking him questions. In the time of covid, our economy remained afloat, spent a lot on aids to poor people and healthcare. When India was spending this much amount and giving free ration through PDS to 80 crore Indians, Raghuram Rajan said Indian economy will not be available to recover after covid. These people are absolute narcissists.
