Actual real state boom is in tier 2-3 cities and remote areas - not in cities. Cities are not much livable nowadays with high pollution and overcrowded. Cities are in bubble

This bubble will take time to burst - due to jobs in cities. Once jobs transfer to tier 2-3 cities - bubble will start to blown away or when people switch to personal business in tier 2-3 cities / remote areas for better quality of fresh air and water - then things will change very fast

Why we are celebrating ? Median salary in India is just 28k bcz of which real state in unaffordable. Make a PSU which can build affordable flats for public or we will be in a deep crisis. We will see more slums in future or homeless people.

@abhishekmeena2841 to terko kya lagta h Government data me sach boltey h, you buy any house in india there will be two companonents: black(remaining amount)+ white(only to show government to reduce tax) money. for registration only the white part is shown which is 15lakh, while the remaining amount of 1.5 crore will be given as hard cash to the builder. so if government itself is saying 5.1 lakh crore then guess the amount. If you ever purchased any flat/plot then you'll know also know the difference between global economy vs actual money in market. apple itself is valued at 1 trillion dollar so according to you this should not be possible either

People are buying multiple flats as investment, which they give on rent and government should curb such things, this prevents people from middle income and lower middle income people are being kept away from owning house of their own, and things like owner asking too much deposit and then not returning at the time of leaving happnes. Even some day rents also become unaffordable

India should reduce stamp duty and instead increase property taxes like it is in USA This will reduce black money in real estate

@sanm4836 good idea, but already majority of the population erarning are less as compared to USA citizen and in existing tax system people are doing black market, so in my opinion increasing tax will boost this loop hole. And also in my opinion wealth tax and 97% was the main reason why people started to avoid tax.
