I'm not a defense expert but China's non-interference in the 1971 war, was also due to the fact that in Dec, the mountains are covered with snow. This was a major reason why Field Marshall Manekshaw argued with the then PM of India that Pak cannot be attacked in summer (yes, readiness of the force was also a reason but the advantage of winter snow was the chief reason). Rather US had asked China to attack India during the 71 war.

6:00 you said defeat of Military in 1962. Airforce and Navy never took part in direct front, only Army did. so we can be specific. AND as far as I have studied, it was a political surrender to Military surrender. So why you wrote it as Military surrender?

1962 defeat was because of the only presence of Reserved forces in the border. It could be different story if Indian Army was present there.
