Water crisis is the major problem in shimla district.Reasons behind the water crisis in shimla district are as.. 1.water deficient sources rapidly decresing 2.population incresing day by day 3.global warming incresing because the amount of carbon dioxide incresing very fast due to burning of forests.Glaciers are melting very fast. 4.climate of district slightly changing .deforestation of forests and tons of pollutions . 5.sources of waters are rapidly decresing .reason behind no proper snow and rain is coming.

Water problem is only in main city which Is spread around 25 km, wherein Shimla total geographical area is around 35.43 km2. If you go Shimla’s outskirts areas there are loads of natural resources I just came back from Rishikesh , what I saw there has extremely put me in serious thought, we are heading towards huge water crises, lot of rivers has completely drained out there. All I am trying so say is we are going to see huge water crises in next few years , so value the importance of water

Thanks for this video and highlighting this issue.I wud like to add something,actually I live in shimla and it is true we the residents of this town are facing acute water shortage for the last one month or more.Govt hasn't declared any official water crisis in Shimla and why would they,coz u all know the real face of the govt.HP supply water to more than 5 states of the country yet some parts of hp face acute water shortage all the year .Morever summer holidays are going on in plains and people rush towards hilly areas to beat the heat,which causes more burden on hilly areas especially Shimla.To ur surprise water is not even available in hotels and dhabas in case u get the water with food u have to pay for it thus it creates more pressure on ur pocket.Till date any govt has failed to find out the solution regarding proper water supply to Shimalities.False promises were made to the people over water supply but till date nothing concrete has been done to solve this issue.Few days our honble president visited Shimla during water crisis and it has come to our notice that water was used to clean the streets from where our president has to arrive.Isnt this a joke with the people of Shimla.Moreover our president did not utter a single word over water crisis in Shimla.He came,he saw,he roams but did nothing.I myself along with my family had to go bauri(natural source of water) to fetch water and the bauri is 1 mile away from home and if I m lucky I gets 2 bucket of water from bauri after standing in queue for many hours,after leaving all the work.So I request through ur channel plz don't come to Shimla and don't drink our water.Thanks and regards.

The natural resources are drying out in himalayan regions. The very primary sources of pabar , sataluj, ashwani khad etc are drying out biggest reason is no snow fall, youth and this generation is avoiding agriculture and water resources . This is not indicative of problem to capital city shimla also whole northern region will be effected and will have large impact on agriculture.

Took bath after 3days that too after getting a bucket from बावड़ी located around 1.5km away. Its really wrost to wrost condition in shimla. The main source of drinking water is Ashwani khad for the main city. From last two years the contamination in water raises the cases of HvB n even HvC, jaundice ... But still we are here with the great scarcity of water..
