Good morning sir First time revision done Election commission appointed by president Article 324 In starting there was one member but after changing the voting age 21 to 18 the number of members were increased from one to three. Chief Election commissioner appointed by president and other two election commissioner are also appointed by president on the advice of chief election commissioner. Removing procedure is same as the removing procedure of Chief Justice of Supreme Court. Working period is 6 years or until the age of 65

1.Members of (including CEC)Election commission of India holds the office for a term of 6 years or until the age of 65 years which ever is earlier. 2. Chief Election Commissioner can be removed in the same manner as a judge of a Supreme Court,i.e.,in passage of a resolution against the CEC by both the houses of a parliament with a special majority on grounds of misbehaviour and incapacity. However,the Election commissioners(additional members as the president may fix from time to time besides the CEC) or Regional Commissioners can be removed by president after recommendation from the CEC.
