Hope Tommy reads this, it sounds like he has long term arthritis in his shoulder. It might be advanced enough that physio won't make it go away. He should look into getting a PRP shot. Not only can it get him back to 100% it will save him expensive painful and time consuming physio. I have something almost exactly how he described for the last 1.5 years and wasted tons of $ and time on physio. Scan confirmed shoulder arthritis/bursitis. Researched and did the PRP. In 1 month without any exercise my shoulder was already 50% better with months of beneficial recovery still to go. Please try out PRP! Don't do cortisone as the long term effects are bad.
