Ingredients
1 Large pomfret
For marination
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chilly powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
For stuffing
6-7 green chillies
6 garlic cloves
1 inch ginger
lime size tamarind ball
1/2 cup coriander leaves
1 cup freshly grated coconut
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
3 tbsp water to grind the masala
1 onion finely chopped
salt as per taste
oil as required
1. Wash, clean and slit the pomfret for stuffing.
2.Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder and keep aside.
3.coarsely grind green chillies, ginger, garlic, tamarind, coriander leaves, grated coconut, turmeric powder and salt.
4.Heat oil in a pan and saute finely chopped onion till translucent than add the ground masala and fry for 2-3 mins.
5.Stuff the masala into the pomfret and fry both the sides till done.
6.Enjoy delicious green masala stuffed pomfret with rice, chapati etc.
