im pretty sure he sang this song live in this video which is fantastic. He has an original version with more embellishment and backing vocals which is really nice but personally I prefer this version that you watched because its more raw and fresh and from the heart.

When I first read the recommendation I thought you would react to Louis Tillett (which you should - Ship Of Dreams or any other song from his Letters To a Dream Album from 1992 for example) but okay, it's Loic Nottet ... And it is a nice Chancon-type Song, yes.
