My score card: 1st fight: Guard Towers (Correct) 2nd fight: V2s (Correct) 3rd fight: Shock Troopers (Correct) 4th fight: Flame Throwers (Wrong) 5th fight: Ore Truck (Correct, as Ore Trucks self-repair, it is actually impossible for Tanya to win) 6th fight: Allies (Wrong, I was unsure about the AI quality. With optimal AI, Volkov would have won in less than a minute) 7th fight: Gauntlet (Wrong, barely)

Some comments on the matchups: 0:50 If the enemy already has a splash, Infatry that explodes when dying is prone to cause chain reactions. Chances are, they explode in the face of non-exploding units and hurt them as well. 2:13 There are somes issues with that one: - It was not really a versus. If I had to give it a name, I would say "Base Race"? Because they raise to kill each others bases. - It is important to know if the AI is able to or the pathfinding will acidentally drive over enemy infantry with vehicles - the production time was major limter on performance - the range was a major advantage for V2, as they could attack the buildings while being still behind their own defenses or on their half of the map. Meanwhiile the Infantry would have had to contest with Bunkers first, while also still dealing with the V2's comming out. 3:53 It was Tanks vs their Hardcounter. Schock troopers are anti-vehicle IIRC and also can not be run over by vehicles. Only the part where the tank shells have a very slight AoE and the sheer masses involved (ideal AoE targets) caused that many losses. 5:22 Both sides were AoE and had exploding enemies, but the grenadiers had range on their side. They also had speed, allowing them to hit the defenses and incomming enemies before those had even passed their own defenses. 6:03 At first I thought the Oretruck for sure - it can run her over and she does no real damage. I did not expect the AI dodging the runover. Until it stuck itself against the coast. If there had been more maneuvering room, Tanya would have defeated it "death of a thousand cuts". 7:50 closer then I thought possible. If Volkov had focussed down factories further after the construction yards, he would have won in a minute. 9:28 Okay, the player micro was unexpected. But this new design with a bend makes it nessesary. Not sure I like the new design for that reason.

In making these, have you found these fights to “scale” fairly proportionally? I.e. is 10 infantry vs 2 tanks the same as 100 infantry vs 20 tanks?

Really depends on the matchup! Flamethrowers will be weaker in large amounts for obvious reasons, whereas fast units like Light tanks will be stronger in large amounts if there is enough room to surround the opponent.

Grenadiers are the single most unreliable infantry unit in existence. On one hand they can drop multiple enemy units in a single volley via a chain reaction. Then on the other hand they explode when killed taking others with them.

The Guard Tower does though look rather silly normally and back in the days with the crappy graphics brain had to help with what it looks like. For me it reminds me of Donald Duck from an above view.
