Excellent, excellent choice of graphic novels. It's refreshing how you ended with "Fun Home" and "Blankets," and how you do not shrink from showing some more adult panels, as well as adult subject matter story-wise. You have a wonderful presence and presentation, allowing us to see enough of the artwork to really appreciate it. Many thanks.

I have been bored by typical us comics about sup. heroes. I have been searching something fresh in this topic, and i found you. Your channel gives me what i have wanted from many years. New wide perspective about comics books. Thank you.

I love that you don’t just summarize the story but also explain what you love about it. I have been searching for recommendations forever for unique long graphic novels in this style. I got so excited when you said you were narrowing your selections down to these. THANK YOU ☺️

Awesome list. Been looking for more non-superhero recommendations as those are the stories I really like. A few I would recommend to you would be “Alec” by Eddie Campbell, “Cleveland” by Harvey Pekar, and “From Hell” by Alan Moore.

Pretty good list. Personally, I'd have inserted Adrian Tomine, Nick Drnaso, Daniel Clowes, Seth, or Charles Burns in place of Tamaki, but otherwise, I think I would have also picked all the others for they give a good range.

Hey man! Of the whole list, I've only red Watchmen. Persepolis caught my attention. I really recommend El Eternauta (The Eternaut in english). It's an argentinian graphic novel. Some other graphic novels I liked: V for Vendetta, Transmetropolitan, Preacher, Crossed, The Boys.

Good list, but I'd certainly have included something by Charles Burns, either Black Hole or Last Look.

I think you'd like Osamu Tezuka manga works, particularly Message to Adolf. I'd also recommend checking out Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue, anything by Naoki Urasawa you never know where his story is going. Lastly I'd check out Bride's Story by Kaoru Mori. Her artwork is impressive.

Thanks, Stuart! You suggested two comics I didn’t read yet, so will do soon! (This one summer & Box office poisson) I think Hostage from Guy Delisle is also worth mentioning if you enjoyed these comics.

Not saying those comics aren't good but it almost seems like you judged them based more on their progressive message.
