Stump Interrupted: Bill White

The Texas Tribune's Stump Interrupted series gives the pop-up video treatment to Houston Mayor Bill White's November 2009 stump, in which he explains why he should be U.S. Senator. White is expected to jump into the governor's race on December 4th.

"He finds reading spreadsheets late at night relaxing." LOL. Using surpluses to plan for deficits is smart. Selling off Texas highways to Spain to make a quick buck is less so.

I wish you would find writing speeches relaxing, Bill, and step it up when you are in front of a camera. We need someone who believes Texas is a swing state and ACTUALLY FIGHTS. We know you are not a polished politician, you don't have to bring it up every time you talk. The Governorship is weak in this State, but the Governor doesn't have to be. Give me a reason to vote for you besides shaking down energy companies and talking about education....
