Stump removed with chain saw and hand tools - no grinder or puller. Excavating is the key

Removing a stump using just a chain saw and hand tools. The key is excavating around the stump to get enough clearance for your saw. This was a 12" stump of which I got the vast majority of it out of the ground. A successful project.

Friend of mine blew stumps with dynamite. He blew all the windows out the neighbors houses tho .

I use a pressure washer to help excavate around my stumps. Makes it a little messier, but that’s a part of the fun. I tend to avoid flush cutting too much, that way I have something to pull on. If that’s of any help.

If its not a stump you need out anytime so we always just left then kinda tall and then we yank it out with the truck or tractor when it gets rotten enough to break the roots

Half a bag of charcoal and some lighter fluid that stump is history Might take 48 hrs but it will burn roots and all once it gets coals

Drill 2holes 1 to start a fire in the center make sure you take a cotton ball coated in Vaseline light it throw it in the center add small sticks to start the fire at the center of the stump, 2nd hole drill at an angle as the breather hole so the fire doesn't go out & gets bigger.
