Thanks for more great tips Stumpy and also ten points for turning down the noise of the router in your vids. We all know how loud they scream in our own shops and personally I find it really annoying that people will make my blood curdle, and annoy my wife in the next room, when I watch a video and they start routing and bang, that router screaming through the speakers at full volume. Completely unnecessary and you are one of the very, very few that quieted them down. Kudos to you mate, good job, thank you !

Hi James, Nice video about curved moulding. Yet, sometimes curves are not circle-based. What about curved mouldings for elliptical curve applications? I often need trim moulding for oval/ellipse curves that have major/minor axis ratio of about 3:2

This was my question too. If you happen to see this, and have any resource you found, would you mind sharing?

I SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CLEAR ABOUT WHY you might want to use this jig to rout on the EDGE of the moulding, instead of just using the router bit's guide-bearing.... Frankly, it's a matter of preference. I always like to use a fence, even if the bit has a bearing, if I can. I find it adds stability, especially if the molding is narrow. Since I already have the jig made (to cut the cove), I'm going to use it for the convex edge too. It also makes it possible to use a bit without a bearing, or to use just a portion of the bit's profile. But, the main use of the jig is for the cove in the center, not the edges.

Have you ever routed an inside cove in a curve like a bicycle finder?

Very smart and helpful video, thanks. I'm curious about making a concave cut, 1/2 round, in the edge of 3/4" plywood so I can inset a bar---(1/2 way) Any ideas on a safe way to do this?
