This is a reupload of Sunday's video due to KZbin being unhappy with some of the contents. Let’s just blame Sgt Slaughter (seriously.) Sorry if you have already seen the video, if you feel like giving it a thumbs up anyway then that is much appreciated. 👍

Making this comment again... HHH was the number one contender to Brock Lesnar's WWE title then Lesnar became exclusive to Smackdown with the title. With no title on RAW, HHH was handed the WHC due to being number one contender with no match. HHH v. Lesnar would've probably been good.

There is "Heel Hate" and "Hate". The former is almost a live, the hate is just part of the act. Then there is scumbags like Vince Russo, where it's just real, raw, crude hate. HHH is almost an Enigma, how he pulled off the Stephanie thing is 50/50, where you almost have to respect the strategy. That is one damn long term strategy that paid off huge.

The weird part with Vince is that in retrospect I don't think he was ever a good booker, he was just a ruthless businessman who was willing to take the industry in a new exciting direction. In the 80's even if he made a few bad booking decisions his overall product thrived because he was congregating all of the best talent from the smaller territories as he destroyed his competition. In the 90's the WWE benefited from the Monday Night War. I know they didn't always win but there were lots of eyes on each of them because they were both doing crazy stuff to attract attention. He had one last consolidation when WCW collapsed because he could use the best of any talent even if he didn't always use them to the best of their ability, and they just happened to have one of the best groups of new wrestlers come out of their training program with Cena, Lesnar, Batista, and Orton. But the further you get in the 2000's the worse the decision making gets, but without any outside factors pushing the product forward we finally got to see the faults he had all along.

One of my most hated is Lesnar. Booked as a nigh-invincible juggernaut from the moment he stepped into the WWE, gets paid more than anyone else to work far less than anyone else, ended the Streak and is allowed to do things that absolutely no one else can, all while having no love for the business and burying guys who do love the business.

This list had me on board when I saw that HHH was #1 on the list. They did a really good job of making me hate that guy. His promos were too long and not nearly as entertaining as those of the Rock or Austin. His matches were quality...the man is an excellent performer...but they were too long and predictable. His refusal to put other guys over and making himself a multi-time champion hurt the product a great deal. He seems to be making up for things in his current role, but during his in-ring career HHH was the absolute worst. I actually cheered both times that he tore his quad because I knew he would be away from WWE for a time which meant they would be able to put on a good show without him dragging it down like an anchor. Unfortunately he always came back and immediately made himself champion again. The rest of the list was really good too, but having HHH at #1 was the only option in my book.

The Triple-H thing is so much worse than you're putting here. He had a long, long history of cutting people's pushes and sabotaging their careers, even sitting in booker meeting with Vince McMahon and having a level of creativity that he frankly only had because of Stephaine. He was also responsible for the demise of Chyna. Triple-H's position and current power are a testament to Vince's utter stupidity and wrestling nepotism.

How was he "responsible for the demise of Chyna"? Because he dumped her? He didn't put drugs into her system. She did that, for years. That responsibility is hers alone. I'm not a fan of "sports entertainment", but this is a very jaded post. HHH is a student of the game. He was in creative meetings to learn the business, as I'm sure he was in plenty of other department meetings that Vince was in as well. That's how you learn, and Vince was non-ashamedly grooming him. Yes, he did what many other promoters had done for the last 100 years- he pushed the one person he could guarantee wouldn't screw him over- himself. Bill Watts, Jerry Lawler, Fritz Von Erich, Eddie Graham, Verne Gagne, Joe Blanchard, Antonio Inoki, and Otto Wanz all pushed themselves, and later their children (if applicable) because that's who they could trust, in the days when contracts were by handshake.

Management is happier, the wrestlers are happier, and the fans are happier. If not for HHH's actions 25 years ago we do not get WWE in it's current iteration and if you think for one single second that Vince McMahon would have done anything differently without him there you are solidly kidding yourself and do not know Vince McMahon like the rest of us do.

As far as HHH, looking back on it, who else did WWE have that Vince could really trust wasn't going to fuck him over, blow up and leave, or be a liability? Goldberg and Brock quit. Eddie was never going to be as big as HHH in Vince's eyes. Rock was in Hollywood. Austin retired. Taker was beginning to wind down. And yes, that WM 19 match against Booker was a slog, but c'mon, Booker was never gonna go over Trips. Orton Cena, Edge, and Batista weren't the big stars they would eventually be. So all that taken into consideration, who else did Vince have but Trips?

One reason why I don't like the fans is that they give Stone Cold Steve Austin a free pass. Sure Hulk Hogan and other people on the list used backstage politics, but Steve Austin was physically abusive and nearly murdered Debra Marshall. In fact, many fans defend Steve Austin and blame Debra Marshall. It shows that there is sexism in the WWE fandom and how toxic wrestling fans are.

Not mentioned in this video is that Vince brought to the table, a story line that would "imply" he was having an incestuous affair with Stephanie. It would obviously be denied, but he went there.

People who are commending Joey Styles. I think Joey Styles is a POS because he hated on Mike Awesome for leaving ECW and joining WCW. ECW wrestlers hadn't been paid for months because of Paul Heyman's incompetence in running a wrestling company, so Awesome left to where he would get paid. He has a family to feed. Styles' comments were disgusting about Awesome, and he didn't also call out Tazz for going to WWE, so it must have been a personal thing. Joey Styles was completely unprofessional, and didn't even retract his comments after Mike Awesome died. Styles was also a hypocrite because he joined WWE, so he could feed his family, yet bagged Awesome for doing the same thing.

So let’s talk about Roman reigns. I’ll agree that after the shield split up WWE did try to shut down the fans throat. And people resented that. It was not organic so it went over like a lead brick but 2024 has been a banner year for him. He lost the title at wrestlemania to Cody Rhodes. He went away For months. Your next time you lost his father in real life. He is certainly 100 times better than solo Sikoa as the tribal chief. While he was gone, everyone went chant in the arena. They wanted Roman reigns. They were chant that over and over. So it doesn’t sound like a man who’s hated does it?And now he’s back and had an awesome match recently at bad blood. So I don’t think you can call him one of the most hated people in WWE/wrestling anymore.

If recent bias is considered, I think Tony Khan has "earned" himself a spot on this dubious list. Don't get me wrong, the meteoric rise of AEW is a good thing for the business, but what Khan has done after the honeymoon period, only the hardliner AEW fans will still defend him. As a wresting promoter and booker, Khan can be considered a personality in wrestling, so yes, he can be included on the list. What makes Khan hated is simple: he has no filter on social media. All his big announcements usually amount to hot air in the end, but what made me lose all respect for Khan was the blatant demonization of WWE when he got his butt kicked when WWE went up against AEW in 2023. Not being able to take defeat is one thing, but dragging his mom's health to prove WWE fans are "scum" is a major low blow, especially when Khan has provided no evidence beyond "because I said so, now shut up". There are a lot of reasons to rag on Khan (him wanting to be buddy-buddy with everyone rather than being the boss, wearing all the hats in booking decisions, you name it), but if AEW really has ambitions to topple WWE off their perch, then Khan should spend money to hire a PR team to manage his social media rather than salivate over who he will sign off WWE just to flip them a petty middle finger.

I stopped watching the WWE over 10 years ago and I'm not sorry I did. It's absolute crap now compared to the attitude era I fell in love with. The wrestlers aren't good anymore and the storylines absolutely suck. The nail in the coffin in my eyes was letting that two bit hack Lesner take away the undefeated streak of The Undertaker. I despise Lesner and Paul Haymen to the core, their very existence makes me sick. Lesner is a talentless scumbag as is Haymen. Honestly everything beyond around 2011 was trash in the WWE with a few exceptions here and there. I never liked WCW and never watched it, I felt it was vastly inferior to the WWF and Eric Bischoff was a total POS slimebag. When the WWF bought WCW I was glad and happy to see that show end. Raw was definitely my favorite but I did like Smackdown too. Great video as always.
