@@davidlax9454if I had the room I would be doing the same. Ridiculous prices for clocks and brown furniture now.

Hey, its going to be a tough sell, it takes up a lot of room, people dont come in here asking for clocks from 1766, my moneys going to be tied up for a couple of years, then theres auction fees, I give you 3 bucks cash money, I take all the risk.

What? $6k to $7k for a 258-Year-Old Clock? Should be well worth more than that! That's older than America.

She would be lucky to get even that. Rather - she would not get that. They go for around 2K.

Lovely clock and a interesting one but disagree with valuation.the longcase clock market has all but collapsed.but that said its an interesting honest clock maybe £2000.am buying clocks now that 25 years ago were £3000 plus for £250!!. Terrible time for antique sellers but great for lovers of them ☺

Doubt that! Nobody wants them Every auction house struggles to move them on

Because they ask too much.

The generations that appreciate them are dying off and the younger generations....mostly don't want them. Sometimes you can't even donate nice well made furniture anymore. My mother in-law passed away 4 years ago and she had some nice pieces. The organizations that take donations didn't want the stuff because people don't buy nor want these type of items anymore according to organizer. So...I just put an add up for free stuff and they went like hot cakes...lol

@@thebrain7065 Brown furniture, beautifully made thngs, amazing timber, but women dont want a house full of old brown furniture, not even a book case. pretty sad.

@@thebrain7065 Most young people don't have the space for much decorative furniture, and they often can't afford the cost of repairing and maintaining it.
