This vid made me realize that I’ve lived overseas the same amount of time I lived in the metroplex. I can remember when the HWY 181/161 interchange at the 13:23 mark was still under construction.

1:50 until 2:11 from left to right middle of the screen, a small plane!
@get2dachoppa2493 жыл бұрын
Given where it is geographically, and how fast its moving, its quite possibly another airliner from DFW. That body of water on the left side of the screen is Lewisville Lake, which is inside the DFW Class B TCA airspace. The floor of that TCA in that area is 3000 ft AGL, and that plane its well above that height, so its in the TCA and probably already talking to Ft. Worth air traffic control center.

Aww begining at 2:44 to 2:47, on the lower left side of screen, I see an awefully tiny, small, object flying opposite direction, very very quickly from left to right, what the hell is that, it does not seem to be a plane, it's going WAY so FAST, 🧐🥺😬😱🤯😵 AGAIN WHAT IS THAT?? THING??????. Omg.

I just noticed that you are almost to 500 episodes of this style of video. Anything special planned for Episode 500?

Not at the moment. Right now I’m just trying prioritize the exciting/inaugural flights I’m taking, while keeping up with regular uploads, life, and my job 🤣.

Doesn't seem to be the regular approach into DFW. Normally the approach is from the north, correct? Used to fly into DFW when I lived there. Great video!
@sla313 жыл бұрын
I would guess that the prevailing winds in Dallas are generally out of the south, which would lead to northern approaches. However, this was during the winter, which probably has a greater chance of having northerly winds, which of course, leads to southern approaches.

I spent 11 years stationed out of the now former NAS Dallas. Its the airfield next to the engine at the 6:30 mark. Skylite's correct about the seasonal winds. When DFW was using 35L or 35C for arrivals, they would overfly NAS Dallas at a few thousand feet. It mostly happened in the spring, and concurred with the blooming of the Bluebonnets on the airfield.
