I occasionally go and binge watch the older videos when I am in a relaxed chill mood. I wish I had the space for a garden like they have and i really wish I had the space for that bed swing coupled with the amazing view. However, I would have to install a chair lift because I don't think I could do 500 steps every time I left the house :)

Carlo reminds me so much of my grandad - somehow knows how to make anything out of anything, always has projects going on around the house and garden, knows everyone around town and always stopping to chat to friends or strangers (who soon become friends) wherever he is. My grandad passed away a couple of years ago and seeing Carlo do his thing makes me very happy that others like him exist and brings back wonderful memories ❤️

I watched a blog the other day , they were in Positano and they were more worried about the sweating and heat . She wore skimpy bikinis and flaunted her body and her fancy expensive clothes . I so do love you guys and I hope you stay down to earth and just show us how beautiful your country is . Love you guys .She would of never held a chicken or cleaned out the coop . Nicki, I have followed your channel for years now, but during these last two years, I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. In the 'before' years I worked non stop from September to June every year...No breaks, no weekends, no holidays..I would save every cent because it would mean I could fly half way around the world, go to Italy in July, and make my way down to Positano. Find a cheap bed and breakfast somewhere way up on the hill and spend a week exploring the amazing coast. I even wanted to spread my ashes in that sea. I think those days are now gone forever. In this new world most of us will never see Positano again, it will be only for the richest of the rich. So to see your channel every week, the amazing amount of time and effort you put in, just so we can have a 20 minute holiday, in this grey world, locked in our cities and countries...(I say this with not an ounce of humour) but you are probably saving lives. Suicide is sky high everywhere, I know i have absolutely considered it now that there is nothing to live for. But watching your family and Italy and mopeds and the sea, carry me out of these four walls and forget. SO thank you! xxx

the 2000 candles was beautiful - this is the weekend of the Feast of St Dominic in USA - but never seen anything like this feast of the Lights......my mother canned everything we ate from our little back yard garden and I know the process for canning anything especially tomatoes - she made our chili sauce, ketchup, plain tomatoes, sauce for pasta and relishes. - Canning period needs everything sterilized even to canning applesauce. It's an art really!! Enjoyed this so much - all videos are great - some things bring back memories for me when I was a child - my Dad's mother (grandmom) was Italian and Pop was German and when they came to live in the USA, they brought a lot of their ways (farming, gardening, etc) in the old country to their new home in Pennsylvania. Thank you again, Nicki and Carlo for another wonderful episode, here in Melbourne your videos come out late Sunday night so I am usually asleep but as I have Mondays off I get to enjoy your wonderful work with my caffe latte and brioche. One of the things that I find so charming about Italy is the festivals that every village, town or city has and the pride the locals have in sharing it with people. My Father’s family is from Nola and there they have the festa dei Gigli, I can’t tell you how excited I was as a child experiencing the atmosphere, we have nothing like it here in Australia. The performance of the juggler when he was in the hoop reminded me of the Vituvian Man of Da Vinci, just magical. But I have to say my favourite part was seeing you, Carlo and Luca making the passata. Something we do here every summer. I don’t know but there is something so lovely about doing a task that I know my Nonna did and her Nonna, I love that we keep some traditions alive.

Que belleza el festival de luces. I had tears in my eyes watching it. I called my husband in to come & watch it & he too was sniffling. I loved this video with all the tourists-been there, done that. I enjoyed the tomato sauce. Reminded me of when I did that in Terni but the ladies poured the sauce into bottles, added fresh basil leaves to preserve and on to the barrels. It's so much work. I had to laugh at my anxiety when Carlos decided to remodel the bathroom. I often think that every women goes into panic mode seeing their husbands undertaking new projects. I used to live next door from an Italian family, each August for about a week, all I could smell was the tomato harvest cooking on the stove. Harvest in Canada is later than in Italy and there is sometimes a lot of heat and even the smell of Autumn when they cooked. It was lovely. I almost smelt the scent of tomatoes in the air as I watched. Thanks for this Nicki.
