That's how shiny it is. I used metallics that are glossy along with gloss pouring medium. I did varnish after the video. 🙂

Freaking awesome! I came to your video because I'm looking to get a marble effect on a small cement pedestal.Unfortunately the sides of the pedestal have ridges/ripples (not flat) so this technique probably won't work or be ideal, but this was definitely a great learning experience that I will try on a flat "canvas" some day.Thanks!Best of luck!

Question- did you mix the colors with the Acrylic resin like part a and part B first with each color and then pour them into the cup? Or do you put the resin acrylic clear coat after on top of your work??

Yes, you can use any finish for a marble design, but on a cylinder shape, you would have to use alternative applications. Thank you. 🙂

Hi, there are several ways, but yes, pouring it on is not possible. One of the easiest ways is to pour it on then roll over the expoy resin to the desired design. 🙂

There's no replicating in fluid art but you can use the same technique but with resin. I hope that helps. 🙂

Is it possible to scale this technique down? I am working on a small figure and want to marble the small base (between the size of a quarter and half dollar). Maybe pour the white and drag a string with my gold, silver, and blue to swirl?

Yes, you can scale any marbling, but the technique I used can only be done on flat surfaces. 🙂

I mix very pigmented colors with white and get pastel, I want to mix water instead cause I don’t have that medium stuff, so what should I do? Thanks and a new sub here!

I wouldn't mix high pigmented colors with white as I want them to stay vibrant, unless you're doing it for another reason. You can use water in any paint, but try not to use more than 20-25%. Thanks I hope this helps.😊

LOVE your art...minimalistic and classy. I have a question about this piece. When t was wet, there were large white cells in the all black area. This those disappear as it dried or did you manipulate it is some way? I like that those cells disappeared.

Question- did you mix the colors with the Acrylic resin like part a and part B first with each color and then pour them into the cup? Or do you put the resin acrylic clear coat after on top of your work?
