I would say Dami is the one who had no breaks in the choreo. The others did stop for a while during her rapping part but Dami immediately takes her place once her part ends, but still, the choreo is so hardcore, I'm amazed that they still have the energy to stand up after all the dancings.

I read a comment saying that they used too much cgi because of their theme that is earth saving and pollution and all...so they were avoiding making sets with material that are toxic and could harm the environment and that somehow makes sense....

I think the reason that this TT felt so low key for y'all is because you became fans during the Scream era. The Dystopia Trilogy was really their most hard hitting (I mean, Scream, Boca, and Odd Eye all SLAP). So I think you two are very family with their more hard core sound. Maison is still a rock song, but it's more so a synth like rock if that makes sense. Either way, I love this TT! Dreamcatcher are known for doing things differently, and this was different! Also in terms of the CGI, I read somewhere that the amount of money they put towards the CGI was the same amount they used in Taeyeon's INVU, and we all saw how gorgeous that MV was. But I think it ultimately does come down to money and experience. SM and Happyface are obviously at very different places finance wise, and SM definitely has more experience with CGI/effects so that could also mean something as well.

It's a grower for sure. Also, there are already performance stages, dance practice and relay dance vids out now as well. Of course DC smashes them all!!!!

For me this first song of the trilogy feels like the calm before the storm. The haunting chorale of la la la maison on the last chorus man I felt goosebumps from that scene. It's like there's malevolence deep beneath that's trying to emerge but then as you could see them goddesses are trying to suppress whatever that evil force is. I feel like it's going to be an all hell break loose on the second part of the trilogy like that of Boca.

Dreamcatcher are touching on a very important subject here. Maison is French for "house", and they are singing about everyone's house, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Save my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Save my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Save my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Save my home in the desert"). People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!" Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. The more I listen to it, the more Rock I hear though. I especially like how the pre-chorus and chorus seems to appear out of nowhere, the chord progression in the bridge, and the epic end part. LEEZ and Ollounder have done it again, and the members are just brilliant. Respect!

I think that the quality of CGI is on purpose. They're asking people to come and fight for them, the aliens, the "skill card (Gayeon)", 1"39 : words that are streaming on the floor. They are into a video game. They are the caracters and they are waiting for the players who could save us. According to the plot, it is a new nightmare, so we can think that it is a prophetic dream they are fighting against. It could be the reality, but it is not yet. About the music, if we compare lives and the mv, the sound seems more hard in the live, so the culpit could be the arrangement. And throughout the song, the bass and the guitar are more and more shrouded in the other instrument.

yea a lot of (reddit) somnia's had issues with Maison because its not hard rock. Dystopia was pretty "hard" i guess but not like goodnight or chase me. those two songs are kinda in a different league compared to dystopia. But i became a fan during the early days of DC so i'm used to dreamcatcher doing different stuff with their title tracks. Fly high was softer too and a little bit more palatable to the kpop industry (deja vu too) but overall, this tt is hard hitting too. just in a different way. i think they wanted us to pay more attention to the reason WHY they made the song (climate change). I do think people who just joined the fandom during odd eye and scream era are probably like "where is the hard rock" but dc changes their sound A LOT. one thing they always keep though is a ballad and an edm track on their albums. they've been doing that since early days lol.

To be honest, I don't think they sound like other kpop at all because they still sounds very Deukae-ish to me, with all the guitar riff & hardcore dance... I've never heard of any other kpop songs that sounds like Maison (so far). I'm sure our girls an even the producers are fully aware of these changes but perhaps they're just want to be a bit different with this comeback. Perhaps they wanna start light and then goes harder in the next one. I also felt a bit off at first listen because we know that Deukae trademark is the build up at the pre chorus before entering the chorus but after a few times I literally keep listening the chorus in my head 😵‍💫 But no worries, everyone has their preferences, maybe this comeback may not be the best toward others but still that doesn't means they won't be supporting our girls. After all we know that our girls are super fighters so they'll keep coming back stronger 🔥

I think all your criticism are quite valid. At first I thought it wasn’t that hard as the other songs. I felt the same way with Boca but the more I listen to it, just like Boca, it actually hits pretty hard and it has grown on me a lot. Boca is my second favorite DC song now. I still don’t know where this one stands but I’m feeling it’s another masterpiece. As for the video, we definitely been spoiled by beautiful DC videos but I think building a destroyed city set would have been way too expensive. I think it is comparable to Deja Vu cgi, it’s just that video just doesn’t have as much cgi. I think the city and the heaven parts are fine, I’m not a big fan of the skeleton and goat head at the end. As for the shaking in the dance part, I think it is intentional. I thought it made it more powerful but that’s my opinion. Overall I think it’s still a great video. Thank you for reacting. Please help us get them their first win by screaming and v0ting.

idk abt yall but the cgi being not "natural" is one of the appealing parts of this mv. The song is literally about our world dying bec of the lack of nature/natural stuff, and the cgi made the mv have a feeling of being artificial which makes a lot of sense bec they're showing us an "artificial world". idk if you get me but that's my take on it. And as for the song, for me is like a mix of their nightmare era and dystopian era. The mv shows it too, the apocalypse (dystopia) and the goat figure + skull at the end (nightmare).

I believe the Maison music structure unlike usual K-Pop music we usually listen...usual kpop song, the build up start in the pre-chorus, thats why Maison's instrumental sounds 'flat' but consistent...this Maison music build-up start at the end of the song right after the bridge, a structure that we usually see in a Rock song...seems like Leez & Ollounder trying to create something different...probably their experimental or revolutionary kpop song structure...

I think why you guys, and a lot of people, think the chorus doesn't hit as hard was because there was no "drop" from the verse to the chorus. The instrumental stayed the same. The song started at 100 mph and so that's why you don't think you're going fast lol. That's the best way I can explain it. But personally, I think the instrumental is not calm at all with the beats and that hard guitar. But I see that you guys are into the song way more since this reaction. Leave it to dreamcatcher to get stuck in your head 😄💙 Also about the goat head, it's basically Satan 😆 it represents satan, evil, temptations, those kinds of things

I've been waiting for this reaction all week because I thought you two would totally go crazy over this track, but I find it refreshing that you were a bit more critical of it. I think a lot of people confuse criticism with straight up hating on something which is not true. I honestly think you love something more if you're at least somewhat critical of it. We can’t save our planet. Humans can only destroy things; however dreamcatcher might can 😂 Please support dreamcatcher more! They been out for many years now but still have not win any music shows. Great music but really under-appreciated. I guess south korean fans think of them as a middle medicore group. Lucky International fans love them and their US tour stability finance them. No where near as big as bts or blackpink concert US tour like 70k+ sold out seats but still pretty decent.

I like your honest. And I'm okay with the people who used to like DREAMCATCHER say they need this song to grow on them. I'm too. But, I don't like the people who don't know DREAMCATCHER well say they don't like this. Actually, this is really new theme of them. Some issues like over unreal CGI, plain and flat chorus, missing usual highnote and the duration is too short. But, the audio only is so okay.
