That Guy In The background was a keeper. Who very kindly came out and gave a talk on them on his day off. When this video was taken, it was the 'day off' for feeding time, so the fact he came and fed them while I was there allowed me to capture the whopping, as without the food there would have been no whooping to enjoy.

Judging by how the one on the left will beep or puff up and then observe the other, I think it's trying to teach the younger one how to vocalize properly. Notice the one on the right keeps puffing up but petering out and giving a wobbly cry instead of doing the full one the one on the right can do.
