This list features some of the best lesser-known summit hikes in Colorado. These bucket-list-worthy hikes are challenging, and you should be properly prepared, but if you’re into type 2 fun, then this lineup is right for you!
These mountains are the traditional homeland of the Arapaho, Ute, and Cheyenne people. Some of the trails have been around since before settlers came. Visit with respect.
Always check the weather before you go. You can type in the exact peak into weather.gov and get pin-point weather forecasts. Just scroll down to the chart and get accurate weather data for your hike.
