Originally from Liverpool UK, me (Andrew The KnightStrider) and Laura moved to Tenerife 8 years ago, and enjoy showcasing the island and our general life in the Canary Islands as well as travelling abroad.
Join us at the Botanical Gardens in Santa Cruz for some spectacular views and a beautiful walk around the Gardens. Costing only €6 to enter, these stunning gardens provided lovely views of Santa Cruz and also across to Gran Canaria. I highly recommend a visit here, it was Free to park, cheap to enter and you could spend as long as you like exploring the Gardens and a variety of plants and trees from all around the world!

What a lovely place and such a great idea transforming it from a barren piece of land into a lush nature area. Some of those plants were really unusual and fascinating, thanks for taking us on a tour around . There’s so much diversity in Tenerife and I think it would be good to combine a stay in the south with a couple of nights in the north just for a change.

We arrived in tenerife two days ago .watching your views on the area is helpful and intresting. Paid this little gem of a place a visit 6 years ago. It started off as a land fill site. It's called the Palmetum. It is divided in to the 5 different continents, and each area contains palm trees from each continent. I hope to see it again in June, and hopefully the flowers on the trees will be in bloom. It was late October when I visited the Palmetum, and all the trees had lost their blossoms at that stage.
