Stunning Wolf Just Howling in the Snow

A howl can mean many things:
▪ a greeting
▪ a rallying cry to gather the family (a.k.a. pack) together
▪ an announcement of their presence
▪ a warning to other wolves away from their turf
▪ or a spontaneous expression of play and bonding
Whatever the meaning, it never gets old!
Zephyr was a captive-born gray wolf at the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, in South Salem, NY. He and his siblings, Nikai and Alawa, help teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment.

Aw, Zephyr, always so beautiful! It makes me sad because my sweet 12-year-old shepherd (who looked and sounded like a gorgeous black wolf) would love to howl along with these videos, and he recently passed away. I miss him so much. Love you always, Jack and Zephyr. ❤❤
