Yeah, I loved this game. I had several "movies" programmed that did everything from re-creating AIRPLANE 75 (where there was a pilot that was tethered into a 747 that had hit a small plane and disabled the pilots, to James Bond chasing a bad guy onto a dirigible. Absolutely great game, they should bring it back with a HI-DEF version.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!! I literally would spend 36 HOURS programming this thing back in1993 when I was just 18. I was in the Navy Barracks just programming all kinds of WWIII scenarios with aliens and sound effects on my 486 DX2 computer.

Great game and I loved how we can record footage and edit as well as do post production on every movie. SI gave you the ability to do anything you wanted for your movie and to create a movie exactly as scripted. The limit was truly your own imagination. I was a member of SIFA and watching some of these realize how much work these guys put into their movies. SI was a lot of work, but the end result was very rewarding. I still remember some amazing movies I created. Does anyone know where I can buy this online? I cannot find my 3 1/2 inch floppy disks.

You can buy it on steam for 10 dollars. you'll still need your instruction manual to get into the game.

Wow great video! Thanks for sharing! I remember a lot of those classic films particularly the accident one. Do you know where I can find them? One that was missing from there was really good black and white film that took place on train. It may of been german. Thanks again!

LOL!! This was soooo awesome. I still have my original disks! I downloaded a dos version and created 3 short movies but nothing compared to yours! How can I convert to share online? I tried the ctrl/alt/f5 method and didn't work for me
@drewske19849 жыл бұрын
+soundwavs1961c What I did was download DosBox for my laptop since all PC's don't have dos anymore. I then found a copy of Stunt Island to download for free and installed it. The capture software I used is called Screen Recorder Gold. I think it costs around 30 dollars but worth it. It formatted the footage into a .avi file.

These are incredibly creative! Are there any more you can put up? I hear Truck Wars is one of the best but I can't find any of them anywhere- so sad that the group that used to share movies made in this game disappeared. Why did I only find out about this game this year!

There is a website that has most of the Stunt Island movies made by SIFA, look up stunt island harbor and that website should have a link for the FTP site. but in order to watch them you need to have dosbox and the Stunt Island player. I'm trying to put out as many of the movies on youtube but now I've been very busy with my job.

drewske1984 Thanks- I tried that and got some of them to play but the frame rate was terrible with dosbox and most of them would crash instantly if I tried them through the game itself via dosbox. I really hope they can come to youtube so more people can see what was possible in the game!
@drewske19848 жыл бұрын
There is a way in dosbox to speed up the framerate so it doesn't do that. I forget how but if you look at the directions in dosbox, it should tell you.I think you press like the page up key or something like that to speed up the framerate before you enter the stunt island program.I used dosbox in this video and was able to get the framerate exactly how I wanted it.
@_Braised8 жыл бұрын
Ah maybe that was it- I was always starting the game first then trying to change framerate. Still can't work out why the game crashes the moment I load up some of the vids in the theatre tho

For the record I've been getting them from this site here www.tinkerbrain.com/stunt_island/ but when I use dosbox to run either stunt island or playone, they both play a few seconds or up to a minute of each film before freezing or crashing entirely. I tried adjusting the cycle speed with F12 and F11 but that doesn't help. Meanwhile the standard films that come with the game run fine. Weird. Does your playone/SI run each custom film you put in it without issues?

What's that great song? Is that Mother Love Bone?
@drewske19849 жыл бұрын
Rustam Abdulatipoff Its from a band called Gackstatter, I think the song is called Negative Breeze. They are an indie band from Seattle. Their album is awesome, I think you can pick it up on amazon music. I don't know if they are still together though.
