In the first clip, I'm with you. On the second one - God, please, those Bicycle Dudes were somehow pretty annoying. I mean, I was in similar situations over and over again and especially if you drive sometimes a car it's so ridicoulus to slowly drive behind them (because you can't overtake them right away), while three other cars have to brake too, because two dudes wanna talk while "riding" their bicycles in a curve or so.

It's safer to take priority in the lane and let cars pass safely and legally than to hug the shoulder where you have nowhere to go and cars pass as close as they can. It's also illegal in the US for them to be on the sidewalk. Justin is just an impatient prick here, he never even had to slow down he had plenty of space to pass them. The number of times in the last 6 years I've had a car pass me close enough to touch because I was "slowing them down" and then I caught up to them at the very next red light has been too often to count.

Also the cyclists are going straight at the intersection, so if they rode on sidewalk (not required in most countries), they would have to cut across the right hand turn lane to go straight which would be more dangerous for all. Seems like they were riding perfectly acceptable. So you have to slow down for a few seconds, then accelerate again...is it that difficult? Also some bike lanes have speed limits, and if you are going faster then the limit, you have to ride on the road instead.

There are sevral clips on moto madness where cars cut infront of the bikes wich is bad but this is just the same. Also the lane splitting on some of the videos are just insane, they should lose their license for those. But if someone could explain to me why lane filtering is legal that would be awsome, or why bikers think it's ok to lane split like crazy and complain about the drivers. Where do you get the "likely" from? "made sure passing is safe" crashing into a filtering biker isn't safe. "it's his own fault" I wouldn't have trusted the motorist not to change direction without looking properly so I wouldn't have gone for the gap, but the motorist steers into the biker. Did the biker steer into the motorist? Nope, So the fault lies with the motorist. You don't change direction without first checking that it's safe to do so.

First of all bicycles got big in the 1800s before motorized vehicles, cycling clubs were some of the first groups to push for paved roads. @ Actually Vehicle registration is not the only way money goes to the roads, it is also from taxpayer money from local taxes are used for city streets, so they pay for the road also. Plus some cities require bicycle license, which also is used. Single file or not, it is still their lane where they ride on the road, just as if a motorcycle was riding in the lane & 4 wheel traffic came up on them going slower then them.

As a biker and driver I've seen all sorts of accidents and been in 2 which were, not my fault and were close to death, no exaggeration. Drivers often apologize but use the stock excuse "I didn't see you". Bright red helmet, light coloured leathers and riding with my 10" headlight on, day and night, what's not to see ?? Some bikers behave like some cyclist bloggers and ride to cause confrontation as seen on this channel and other biking channels. Some of them are hilarious, after berating a driver for not being focused the rider turns off and proceeds to ride on the wrong side of the road. Lots of these snippets make the posting even better.

You know, I tried to reach out to Design as far as modifying how they program DRL's as a quality issue, but too much issue in who actually programs or is responsible for the function that I all about gave up. Might show screen caps of this and look into it again. Too many DRL's are too bright and the cars don't have a function to alert stupid or uninformed drivers that lights aren't on at night or in dark conditions. We'll see...since all I can do is about email and "pretend" i'm working at home when there's literally nothing I can do besides busy work when cars aren't being built.
